Who wants to watch some football?

There's not enough football on here of late what with all the rugby, but since the world cup is but a few hours from being over I think it's time we turned our attention to the REAL sporting highlight of the weekend - that is to say Spurs v. Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

I hereby, therefore, forthwith, invite all and any of you to join me at Gunther Murphys on Sunday evening to watch the aforesaid titanic struggle for mid-table. Kick Off is at 5, but I should think I'll be there a little earlier. For those who don't know me, I will be modelling a Spurs shirt with "JV 26" on the back.

(and yes, I appreciate that this thread is open to p**s taking Man Yoo and Gooner fans, so Ed. Bob, pls lock it after Sunday afternoon so I don't have to put up with the Spurs jokes on Monday).

I'm no manyoo fan, or a blinkin' gooner, and would normally let loose with a torrent of insults about you boys from 3 Point Lane, but with the Stamford Bridge All Stars playing a potential banana skin fixture away at Southampton (they gawn done n' beat Manyoo at St Marys already this year remember) I'm going leave you alone...

Count me in. Hope Spurs win, I cant stand Villa.

Whilst we are on the subject of footy. We should organise to go to an 1860 match at the stadium at some point. The tickets are cheap and there is always plenty of room!!

Just to remind one and all, the best football team in England are playing Villa this afternoon - Kick off at 5pm down at Gunthers - be good to see some fellow TT'ers, who don't mind me crying on their shoulders when the mighty Villa turn us over
