A friend of mine is aiming to get the perfect ski dude hair this year, it goes something along the lines of the picture below. Can anyone give an indication how much this would cost for the highlight bits etc and what you would ask for at the hairdressers?
He also wants to know how to maintain this look, especially the quiff way into the apres ski.
Thanks.

I'd just bring that picture with me to the hairdressers.
Not sure what they'd charge for the highlights but I'd guess around 60 Euro for the whole thing, cut and color, would be a good guess.

has anyone every done highlight stuff at home, and if so where and what do you buy? 60bucks is a bit pricey for something that will probably turn out rubbish anyway...

You can do highlights and stuff at home. Have a "girls night in" with a couple of bottles of wine and Coronation Street. Cheap and fun!

@ memo - actually it was but his looks wicked cool and im tempted to do the same! but 60 is expensive.. aparently girls are digging this look at the moment
@grtho - err... just tell me where to buy the stuff if you know please! youve taken that too far! is it easy to do on your own?

Schotte - no it isn't easy to do on your own. Highlight kits are available at every Schlecker, dm, whatever - but it's difficult to do it yourself, especially as you get to the back. I'd advise getting a mate to help. The cap you use is particularly attractive though

Also known as the Jamie Oliver look.
No!
Its wrong. I know you are a young man Schotte. But c'mon. Who wants to like like a boyband member with a a porcupine haristyle? What kind of girls would you attract.
Girls - tell him nothing beats a smart short back and sides. And one's hair should always be clean. That's the real ticket.
And no German facial hair items.

Won't help you now but there's a place at Max Weber Platz called Friseur Celine I think, and they were advertising highlights for men for Euro20 or so. Next season eh?
