"Crazy Blind Dates" in Frankfurt

It's fun to meet new people but there has to be a less awkward way than hitting the bar alone on a Friday night. I was just thinking may be we can reapply the concept of the popular US website "crazy blind date dot com" here in Frankfurt.

Here's my vision: Leave a message here and you will get randomly paired with 3 other people (thru their usernames, email, whatever they want to provide) as soon as we have enough participants to really randomize the pool. You four can communicate between yourselves what you want to do, the time, date, and location independently. Ideally I am thinking of pairing 2 girls and 2 guys up. If you are gay/lesbian or doesn't care about the gender of the other three, you can also write it down here, or send me a message if it's private.

The US version of crazy blind date is really impromptu meet-ups within like 24 hrs but given I am doing it in a analog way without the help of computer programs, I would like to get all the names of participants before the next thursday (I guess the logistics of it will be sorted out when it actually starts running) and distribute them before next weekend rolls around.

How does that sound?

If anyone has suggestion on how to run this better, or would like to coordinate this whole thing, feel free to drop a note.

Answer to the previous question --- It is really to get people started with making new friends. So whether you are looking for romance or simply want to make new friends you are welcome. If you have preference for either, you can write it in a message and I will group people with the same preference together.
