Horse Racing in Munich

Would anybody know if there is horse racing in Munich?

Am not necessarily as learned as a trainer, but am a member of a racing club back in Oz, and miss the general atmosphere of it all.

Obviously winter might mean a break from races in Europe, but if anyone could help me out here, i'd be appreciative.

Yes there is. Out in Riem there is a race track and in Daglfing they have Sulky racing.

It's a fun day out and not too expensive providing you don't bet huge ammounts and lose.

Not here I haven't. Back home I went the odd time, but I prefer dog racing.

And betting is allowed. A handsome gent of my accquaintance went on Sunday, had a great time (and also won over 1000€ in betting, beginner's luck he says).
Haven't been there, have been to Galopprennbahn Frankfurt.
There is also Galopprennbahn Riem.

Yes, I been a few times. You can take a picnic, entrance is just a few Euros, you can see the horses before and after the races and get really close to the track.

Beer is from Ayinger = Good!

S-Bahn to Riem then 5 minutes walk.

Season probably starts in April.

Give yourself a budget for betting that you won't go beyond though.
I had a great time, would love to go again.

Well first we do have racing in munich. We have the trott races in Dagelfing and we have the thouroughbreds in Riem!! Dont get that mixed up - cause its completly differnt thing!!! Racing in Riem last till 13. November (if the grounds not frozen) and starts again some day in March.

I lost loads of money, but Showem cleaned up.
