Drinks night to welcome TT Newcomers

This is a monthly social free-for-all for all New to Toytown Members to come and get a change to mingle with existing TTer's. Places can vary from Resturants to Bars. Will be the first weekend of every month!

Could someone clarify the date for the next meet please(!), is it 2nd April (in the messages) or 9th April (title of the thread)?

Be kind of nice to arrive on the right evening!!

Techincally it's the 9th at GM's. But you are welcome to come meet us before then at Andechs on the 2nd.

Hi Eurobill. GM's is on Nikolai Strasse off Leopold Strasse (U3 of U6 to Munchener Freiheit) it is deceptive as it is actually in the kellar of a hotel and it is the hotel sign you will see first. Ask anyone on Leopold and they will point you in the right direction (I hope!)

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to Munich and I've observed TT from afar but would like to finally meet folks. When you have these gatherings, is there a specific area to head to or should I just keep an ear out for English speakers?

hi!! there will be two table reserved for tter's ... just look around and if your too shy ask a freindly barstaff, they should be able to point us out!

I hope many of you come as this will be the last event that i organize after the meetup on the 9th...winegirl will be taking over as organizer... so i hope to see as many people this night as I can!!

There is a "Newcommers Wlecome to Bavaria" show in Munich on the same day. I will be at the show AND will try to make the TT drink night!!! Double Trouble!! Glad I checked the forum before I leaft...

IF ANYONE IS ALSO GOING TO THE NEWCOMMERS SHOW: I would like to meet you there. In fact TT should rent a table there to showoff the great website. I have NO IDEA how to find each other. If anyone else knows an obvious meeting place then post it and a suggested time to meet.

Hey guys!!! WOW! thanks to all that made it! 51 people showed up and I must say I didnt know about 25-30 of you so..cheers!!! For all those who were there, there were drinks not paid for. I had to pay 35 euros, so if u do remember leaving without paying please pm me! And on another note, this event will NOT be held at GM's again! I realize there were bunches of complaints and I aplogize and I am sorry about the cocktails. The owner and I had talked about this and he messed up again my aplogiies but overall it was a great night!!! Amber

I just joined TT Munich today and would love to go to GMs, unfortunately I will be in the UK for the weekend - I will join the next gathering...

As another Newbie, I would also love to go but also have to be in the UK at this time to attend a funeral! Please arrange another Newbie night soon! I have been to GMs on the Liverpool v Chelsea night with another Newbie I agreed to meet outside, but we never managed to identify the rest of the group unfortunately! Glad I had a buddie.

Darwin, there's a curry night every wed. We try out a different place each week. It's agreat way to meet peope since it's over dinner. I'm a regular to curry nights

For the football matches we are normally just at the bottom of the steps on left left side, somewhere on the tables that run along the left wall

Winegirl - thanks for that. Maybe I'll have another go at the next footie game! I did wonder if perhaps the folks sitting down by the stairs were TTers, but then almost everyone around could have been potentially a TTer!

Other option, if you know TT are there, ask any of the waitresses. They certainly know a few TT'ers

BeachBum, I don't know any but I suggest trying a search in the upper right corner of the TT screen. If that comes up with nothing, start a thread.
