Evening Dinner @ Jade - Chinese restaurant

During curry night out some of us had an idea to go for a chinese restaurant outing.

As far as I know, these are the only 2 places which serve proper Chinese/HK food - Jade Restaurant @Michaelibad & Canton @Theresienstr. I can order since I can read the chinese menu (the german menu is definitely not the real thing!)

@Edwin, Its going to be difficult at short notice for me. I have something planned for today and tommorow and I am go-karting on Sunday, otherwise I would have been up for it.

I fly home next weekend. But mid-week or next time, would love to come!

How about a Wednesday, as an alternative night to the curry night?

have been to Jade with 2 chinese speakers, it's fab.

If I'm back in town I'd go. I love Jade and want to try Canton

Me too. Love Chinese food. My life is dependant on those fortune cookies cuz I make all the important decisons in life based on what they say

well, I don't know anybody and wouldn't want to risk you having to spend the whole evening with me... But just out of interest: where and how much???

ofcourse not. If I were a toad I wouldn't risk going to a Chinese restaurant cuz I could end up on somebody's plate

All silliness aside, well, Mr. toad if you wanna be part of TT well then you gotta jump into the water and mix with other amphibians. Now come out of your hole and enjoy some nice insects and worms during next TT dinner event.

I'd be interested if there's a decent Chinese restaurant, but I've never found one in all of Germany. I prefer Szechuam to Cantonese and Hunan.

I'm spoilt because I cook Chinese myself. Mum used to teach Chinese cooking. My place is pretty clean (finally) and can seat about 8 people. If there's enough interest, perhaps I could do a nice dinner (smoking outside only).

It would be nicer if I could get a few of the pinball machines working but I'm waiting on parts. I have no TV, no living room, no etc. Music and food though, that I have in spades.

But if theres a good Chinese restaurant, I'm game.

Can't make that weekend as will be in Paris for the rugby (despite not being Welsh or French or understanding rugby at all).
I'll keep checking the thread to see how things turn out though!

Would like to add that there is (in my opinion) an excellent Chinese in Haidhausen.
It's called Kam Yi and is just opposite the Hilton hotel.

Recommend giving it a try.

Don't know exact date Edwin. Planning on a long term move to Munich (cuz I am so tired of watching I-robot in every friggin flight ) so there are a few things to take care of. We will surely meet again for the Chinese thingy.

Directions: U-5 Michaelibad - Take the exit to Hechtseestraße, and walk along Hofangerstraße for about 100m and you'll see it on the left side.
