Anyone been to Therme Bad Woerishofen? Am wondering if it is worth going there or if there is a better one.

It is just that I desperately want to be in a warm place with a beach - but not possible so thought this might be the next best thing for a day at least. I keep seeing billboards for this place on my way to work and looks big and warm smile.gif

Thanks

My gf and I have been there several times (her mom lives in the town...) that place kicks ass, we love it. My parents are coming to visit from the states, and for an afternoon we'll bring them...but like I said it's right next to my gf's mom's...so it's easy for us to pop-in.

been to something "similar" in bad tolz and Chiemsee...neither are as nice...but it's brand new cool.gif

BTW: saturdays don't go.

Saturday afternoon is all kids, saturday evening is all naked people.

other than that the pool is 16+ and clothed rolleyes.gif

mike, how do you get there?? Would imagine it would be quite crowded on a sunday afternoon, especially in this weather - have you ever been in winter time??

We drive out in our tiny suzuki swift. Sunday afternoons are usually when we go...it's not too crowded, we usually get there @ like 1pm stay til 5pm...they make money, so it's not empty, but we have a very relaxing time...plenty of areas to visit.

yeah, we were there in January...go outside too (believe me, I freeze very easily, but the water is warm out there, just stay 90% under) it's great.

Thanks - think you may have just given me a spark of hope for getting thru the winter smile.gif

Do you know how to get there by public transport smile.gif

Take the train, change trains, and then the bus. Train leaves Munich 10:51, arrives at 12:00. Then a bus leaves at 12:08, arriving at 12:14.

You can put the street address and town into bahn.de to find these things out.
