This will be the fifth gig in a series of concerts given by Polish rock bands in Munich.
The motto of all performances is - UNITED IN ROCK!
The event includes a multimedia show, "Tribute To Solidarity - Roads To Freedom", to commemorate the rise, the fall, and finally the victory of the first free trade union movement permitted under communist rule in Eastern Europe. On a large screen above the stage, the birth of the Solidarity movement will be presented through archive film material showing the strikes and demonstrations, the bloody surpression of the miners’ protests and the introduction of martial law. These actions culminated in bringing about the first semi-free elections in Poland since WWII, on 04.06.1989.
This event will present Poland and the last three decades of Polish history. The rock band Lombard will narrate the whole show with their music and lyrics, closely reflecting historical events but also everyday life in today´s Poland.
No matter if you are interested in finding out a little more about Poland, or simply want to rock to one of the best Polish live bands, there will be something for everyone at this event!
