very saddened by the lack of canadian representation, or maybe its just lack of guts to come forward and admit who you are! shame on you!
ah well it was more just an inquiry of curiosity anyway.

So am I, but I didn't move to Munich just to hang out with other Canadians. No offence meant, and I'd be happy to meet you Iain, but I've always found it more interesting talking to people from other places. Probably also typical Canadian reticence to answer your post.

As Jimbo pointed out ... I AM canadian. Love Munich but I might have to move back because I am freezing to death here. I don't remember T.O. being this cold. Where's the little happy face in an igloo when you need him?

Wouldn't that be a bit like our English and Irish friends saying that they have to
move back because it rains too much?
Or me saying I have to move back because everyone here is so fat?

canadian here. been here over a year, love it, staying as long as possible. Besides, the high tech job market at home is extremely dry right now. But will I buy property or retire here? I am afraid not. Too expensive, and the air is not fresh enough (even in the alps unfortunately) !

Just found about this site today. Not too bad, eh??
I've been here in Munich for just over 2 years and I love it, eh??
In regards to one of the earlier posts...Toronto IS much colder than Munich, eh? Munich weather is pathetically warm, eh? I miss those -40C nights in TO, eh?
Tschuss...eh??

Don't be fooled by the name...I AM also Canadian. Just arrived...and I have to agree...bloody C-O-L-D.
Yeah, TO is also cold...but not so bad going from car to work to home (yeah, I was spoiled). These Germans just loooove to hang outside and walk, stand, drink etc. in the cold.
Interesting concept to us native Canucks

Yeah, Montreal has had it bad as of late...with lows of -30C. Damn that beautiful weather! As for us over here it's pretty comical. We wear our North Face Nupse Extreme Mountain Extra Down Parkas when its a bone-chilling -1C! Burrr that -1C ...

@canuck
We have it quite good in Canada with -30C weather ... cause it's a dry cold!
It's a very different story here, the -1C feels quite the same ... it's a wet cold that 'goes deep into your bones' ... brrr!!
But it sure does make a canuck great story ... being so damn cold and all!!
willy - a canuck too!

Here I am - one more Canadian. We are in Munich for a year now. Do I like it??? I don“t know yet. They make it pretty difficult for us beacuse of all these working permits and it is very hart to find a job here. Or am I the only one who makes this experience.
Any ideas???
