The Munich qualification takes place at Greenfarm Festival 2009 on Friday, 19. June 2009 in Hallbergmoos near Munich.
The German finals will take place in Frankfurt on the weekend of 26. June 2009 and the successful candidate goes on to the Tralee finals in
Ireland from 21.-26. August 2009.
How to become a Rose
"So you want to be a Rose? The first thing you should do is contact the Rose centre that is geographically closest to where you live: Deutsch-Irischer Freundeskreis Bayern e.V. Munich, www.dif-bayern.de, or call 089-634 99 848 evenings.
The selection of the Munich Rose will take place on 19th. June 2009 at the Greenfarm Festival in Halbergmoos, www.greenfarmfestival.de near Munich.
The Munich Rose will then go on to take part in the final selection for the German Rose who will proudly represent Germany at the world famous „Rose of Tralee“ event in Tralee, Ireland from Friday, 21st. - 26th. August 2009.
If you filfill the following entry requirements for a Rose, please contact us:
1. Minimum age 18 years and you must not have reached your 28th. birthday before August 26th. 2009.
2. Be unmarried or have never been married.
3. Must not have represented any centre at the national or international event in Tralee.
4. Must be of Irish birth or ancestry and be able to verify this if required.
Judges consider many different attributes of the Rose including, in the words of William Mulchinock's song; "The Rose of Tralee", an indefinable quality that captures "the truth in her eyes". The Rose of Tralee International Festival celebrates modern young women in terms of their aspirations, ambitions, intellect, social responsibility and Irish heritage."
