Attention all fans of A Capella, Jazz and Gospel ...

Australia's world-renowned jazz a cappella ensemble 'The Idea of North' is coming to Germany for a short tour in May. They have been invited to perform in Leipzig so will be passing through Munich and Berlin as well.

This is an incredible ensemble of four singers whose repertoire covers jazz, pop, folk, gospel and comedy, and who have been described by James Morrison (Aust. Jazz Icon, not UK Pop Star) as "An extraordinary group... seeing and hearing is believing!".

All of that aside, I've seen them several times in Australia - and they are not only amazing singers, but also are fantastically entertaining, and really bring Australia and it's sense of humour across to this side of the world.

Get out and support some touring Aussies as they work their magic in Germany! Concert booking details on their website: www.idea.com.au

This is what's been said about The Idea of North:

“In terms of quality of ensemble and elegance of arrangements, this group’s work is in the same league as that of The Swingle Singers in their heyday. On top of that, they incorporate a wry, deadpan Australian sense of humour that made their performance immensely entertaining.” David M. Schwartz, for the Sydney Morning Herald

“The Idea of North swept in and stole every musical plaudit at this year’s Fringe.” The Adelaide Review

“… as near as dammit to vocal perfection” The Courier Mail

“This a cappella outfit can’t put a foot wrong. Critic’s Rating: 10/10” Sun Herald

“…an impeccable standard of musicianship…awesomely skilled musicians…” The Melbourne Age

“…that quartet of groovers who rescued instrument-free singing from the 1980s” Herald Sun
