I was in the mothercare shop in the Elbe Einkaufszentrum. its new, opened in December 2008.
I thought "oh great, mothercare." My mother was here aswell and wanted to get some cloths/toys for my little one.
on the etiketten Mothercare had the prices in EURO and POUND.

i went over a few items...

SHOCK, HORROR...

a babies-body in size 86:
10 POUNDS
17 EUROS

and thats just an example.
dont forget the english pound to the Euro is almost 1:1

i ask the manager can we pay in pounds :-)
she said "NO"

i then went on and asked her WHY is there a BIG difference in the EUR <> POUND
she said: "we havnt had the time to take the pounds off"

i told her "i would go across to Baby Markt"
mothercare missed out on 500,- € in baby stuff that day.
