Okay, I am going to do the obvious and call in the professionals, but partly curious as to whether anyone has experienced the same thing and if there's some simple answer.
We have gas heating for our flat. We keep it at a fresh 18.5 degrees during the day. We both left the house before 9am yesterday and when we came home last night around 8:30pm, the heater was on full blast and the temperature was registering 26 degrees! Not good for the gas bill.
It's acted up a little before, doing the same stunt, but I was always at home to shut it off for a few hours to let it reflect upon its sins and then turn it back on. This is first time it's done it for such a long period of time.
Anyone have a clue what might be wrong?
