Que Bap - Turkish fast-food joint near Isartor - Munich

Opening 2009 where Don Luca's Mexican used to be

madgibson
Just a quick update for anyone interested - at the corner of Zweibrückenstr./Morassistr. , the ex-Don Luca's Mexican restaurant has been completely gutted and will re-open as a Turkish fast food joint. It's called Que Bap. (great name ) They are also looking to hire staff at the moment according to the note in the window.

Seems that it's becoming a bit of a fast food oasis on the street with the newly opened Subway just next door and McDonald's two doors up! Coffee Fellows is across the street and the cheap self-service bakery makes big business with school kids & office staff alike.

Guten appetit!

There's already an awesome doner shop a little further down from McDonalds and another one a bit down from that that's less awesome. You probably couldn't hang out in those all night, but it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Oh, and the Japanese noodle bar and greasy Chinese in the opposite direction, not to mention gloriously cheap and tasty Indian Mango. Zweibrückenstr. is looking good for food.

"Que Bap"...is that like a Spanish version of Arshoo's, "Boobies!"?

Went to Que Bap for lunch today - they have various menues with variations on the classic kebap i.e. Asia, Barbeque etc I had classic with chips (unusual shape but tasty) and soft drink. Everything was freshly prepared with friendly and quick service. Definitely ok for a quick fast food fix.

I had the "spicy" recently. It was anything but spicy. Tasty, but not spicy.

Do they have Iskander kebap?

I was with a friend at the Turkish fast-food restaurant at Sendlinger Tor once. I can´t remember the name it is open 23 or 24 hours. It is the one at the Fountain where the Tramway stops. You can´t miss it if you go out of the Subway U1/2 at Sendlinger Tor.
He had the Iskender Kebap because I told him he should try it. But that was 1-2 years ago, could be they changed the menu in the meantime.

Did you knew what Iskender means? It is turkish for Alexander. X-Ander lead to Isk-ender.
