Another Monty Python fest ?

Anyone interested

Toytown Germany > Discussion forum > South Germany > Munich > Meetups in Munich

OK, the last one was a great sucess, and now I have some more Monty Python, have just received the best of Monty Python's flying Circus Vol 1 to Vol 3, and Monty Python live in Aspen.

Also still have the films, so may for those that missed the films, we can mix it up a little.

Anyone interested in another event ?

For those of you who missed the last one !
Winegirl
I'm interested as long as I can actually hear it this time! No chit chat through the whole thing this time!
butterbean
yes, I would agree on the "chit chat"

I'd be happy to host the next one. I'll be out of town for a bit though. When were you thinking pepper?
pepper
No date planned yet, was just checking the interest !

We have all the films as last time, Meaning of Life, Holy Grail, and Life of Brian, but we saw all at the last sitting, then NEW I have the best of Monty Python's Flying Circus and Live in Aspen.
Nicky
I would like to come next time. sorry I missed the last one. Is there any age-thing here? Don't want to be the only oldie.
pepper
Err.. believe me, I don't think you will be the only older. So I guess we should organise a date for this ? When is best for everyone ? Although February for me is looking really bad ! maybe early March ?
Yeti
Hi Pepper,

I'ld be interested, especially in "Live in Aspen". Haven't seen that yet. Plus I'ld help to up the oldie contigent. Have you got room for my Zimmer frame?
chewy
Im intrest although wouldn't be available till early march

ditto

hi there Pepper,

would love a round of Flying Circus, and promise to keep away from long-stemmed glasses filled with *cough* red wine this time. Agree re: chit-chat, but with Flying Circus it's much easier to have a break in between for frantic small talk, frantic visits to the loo, frantic chain-smoking downstairs...

@ Nicky
no worries, I'm not exactly a teenager either wink.gif
butterbean
well, the Starkbeirfest outing is the 12th, so there's the 13th or the weekend of the 5th/6th?
Kat
The 5th is Saturday (tomorrow!). That's okay with me, but seems a bit short notice. Do you mean March 5-6? Whenever, I'll bring some wine or hard booze if ya'll want to make cocktails! cool.gif
Yeti
Does anybody have any episodes of "Fawlty Towers" ?
pepper
Sorry yes we mean March, February is really bad for me.

Did you say Fawlty Towers ? I have series 1 and 2 on DVD. At the end of the last Monty Python session we managed a quick episode (The Germans) of Fawlty Towers.
Yeti
No need to mention that laugh.gif
UrbanAngel
In case anyone's interested, Monty Python Box Set for 16 pounds reduced from 40.
UpQuark
I'm in. Other than Holy Grail, I've always preferred the TV show to the films (other than the last season, without John Cleese- he was sorely missed).
pepper
Just managed to also get "and now for some thing completely different" and Live at the Hollywood Bowl, so maybe we just forget about the films this time, and there is probably more than enough for a THIRD session !
pepper
So any date proposals ? 5th March was the first. Is this OK for everyone ?
Nicky
5th March is ok. I also have some Fawlty Towers on DVD.
pepper
Ahh.. I have series 1 and 2 on DVD so have them all ! No problems with Fawlty Towers, a friend today has just sent me over "and now for something completely different" and "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" so think we have a lot of Monty Python to get through !
petal
March the 5th is good for me. This time I'll switch my phone off ph34r.gif
pepper
OK, so speaking to a few people, seems that March 5th is OK for most although seeing this now, I realise this is a Saturday so will change this to the Sunday (March 6th), there is no rugby on that weekend and its far enough away to block the date free. So look out for the post coming soon...
