Set phasers on phun
DATE: SUNDAY 6 February 2005
TIME: from 5pm
WHERE: Jahnstrasse 5
Ring the bell for Fannin. I'm on the 4th floor, left hand side. There is no elevator.
Where I am: U1 or U2 (or U7) to Fraunhofferstr. North exit on the left hand side. First right to Jahnstr. and I'm a few doors down.
This will not be done in chronological order as it would take roughly the rest of our lives to get through everything. So, everyone picks an episode and we watch things out of order. 2 part episodes count as one episode. I have the original (i.e. Kirk) series season 1 and also Deep Space 9 (i.e. Sisko) seasons 3, 4 and 5. Anyone who has some TNG will be most welcome. I'll have to insist on at least one old school episode, if only for contrast. "Balance of Terror"? "The Arena"? You gotta love the Gorn.
The time is 5:00, but if people want an earlier start so that they can get more episodes in before Superbowl viewing, I'm ok with that.

I'll be there! I'll bake something, probably cookies and bring a bottle of wine. See you Sunday!

5 p.m. sounds good to me. I can't supply any DVDs but I'll bring some soft drinks. Don't want to be under the table before midnight.

It just so happens that my 1st choice is from season 1 TOS.

Don't need any notice at all. People drop in and out- very informal.

Okay, thanks for hosting.
Please keep the transporter room cleared after the Ireland Italy game then, don't want to be beamed into your fridge or anything.

Why don't you just mess around with the space-time continium than you can watch the game travel back in time and make it to UpQ's on time.

Ah now your talking. Even better would be to go forward, set the result and then forget I'ld done that, watch the game and then head over to UpQ's.
And send a clone back to my apartment at the start of the week to tidy up. A clone with enhanced tidy DNA.
Unfortunately I'm sure there is a Star Fleet directive (724-D perhaps) against interference in traditional tribal activities of a religious nature, which would appear to include rugby.

@UpQuark - Do you have a VCR?
UpQuark
Feb 3 2005, 12:58 pm
I do have a VCR, but it comes from the US and I do not have i) an AC transformer to plug the thing in or ii) an adaptor to get the thing to play on a SCART TV. Each of those has been on my low-priority to do list, which means that it will likely never get done.

I can supply a NTSC/PAL VCR & a SCART lead.
I can also supply seasons 6&7 of Voyager on video.
UpQuark
Feb 3 2005, 7:18 pm
@3 Lions: There's still the AC issue, unless someone has a transformer they'd like to loan. And of course there's also the fact that I'm thinking the last two seasons of Voyager probably sucked. I quit watching in the third season.
We are going to be watching this on a holodeck aren't we, aren't we?

Thanks to all who made it. It's reassuring to know that there are people who are just as geeky as I am, if not moreso.
Minor correction: the TNG episodes were both from Season 4.
Would love to do it again. Possible themes: time travel, alternate universes, favorite two-parters, ones with cool battles scenes.
