English books and British food!!!
One could spend hours at the English Book Shop in the Stressemannstr. 169, Altona. Take the S'Bahn S21 to Holsten str Station, cross the street, and you'll find it 100 metres from the Neue Flora, that is heading towards Altona Station.
Childrens books, Cookery to crimes etc.
They are open from 13:00 - 19:00 Mon to Fri and Saturdays 10:00 - 15:00 seem like family outies between the 3 stores.
simply drop by and have a cup of tea and biscuits.

Haven't been there in a half-dozen years. Does it still look as if the books were dropped in by helicopter through a hole in the roof?

Amazon.de also has a large selection of English books for kids.

No. The helicopter is too expensive now and the hole has been repaired.
Slaves have been putting the books on the shelves.
At the moment the kids books are on offer as well as the cans of strongbow cider 4 for 5 euro.

Hey there abahamonde,
there is a shop in Heusweg in Eimsbüttel called Kopper Internationale Kinderbücher (http://www.gabikopper.de) they have books in every language you could want including Thai, Somali and Katalan ... they also have a pretty good catalogue of English language books for kids! I just bought 'the little prince' as well as 'the very hungry caterpillar' ... must haves for all in the know toddlers
cheers, Tessa

The Munich Readery has hundreds of secondhand kids books in good condition, most of which are cheaper (including shipping cost) than online vendors like Amazon.de, especially for out-of-print and hard-to-find books. To find out if we have a book in stock, just send us an email at bookmanjb@readery.de. Or visit our website; there's an email link at the bottom of every page.
