Ski weekend - 19/20th February 2005

JB, that car will not be making the trip this time, just the one that Tom17 was driving last time.

(only kidding! Lurvely car, better than my broken clapped out banger...and I'd walk there if it meant I could ski next weekend... missed 2 weekends of peak conditions! )

No I'm not definitely coming, I'm probably coming. If I do then I'll drive, but the same would apply as last time: I can take only one passenger with skis.

Is there noone else with a car going skiing? if so can you let me know please,

i will have to pass on this, although i posted originaly, oscar has to go to a birthday party on saturday which was postponed because he was in hospital, so i'm without car

the weekend after i should be gong saturday.

No Gideon...does that mean I get poles this week!!

Have we decided where we are going yet?

I have decided that the weather this coming weekend is more likely to be conducive to cross-country than downhill.

The weekend after is still open though. Plus those who went last time will be pleased to know that by then I should no longer be the owner of the oldest skis on the hill

And is the plan to go on Saturday or Sunday? Or is this a romantic weekend getaway?

as posted I am going saturday but have a full car. whether jeeves is jing on a romantic weekend next week-end i don't know.

Jeeves, I meant the weekend before, 10 days ago. Was told it was perfect, wouldn#t know as was moving house. Last weekend was in UK (have your salad cream, btw.).. no idea what the forecast is this week?

Since we have consensus about going to St. Johann, which takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to, i think it would be better if we meet at:

06:45 at Innsbruckerring U-Bahn station

There is a U-Bahn which gets you there at 06:42.

i've done it in 1:20 from my place. i recon it'll we'll be there in 1:10.
mr lions bring some coffee!! i'll be sleeping in the back.

One industrial strength 1.5ltr of Gold Blend will be ready 1st thing.

Sorry I wont be coming, I understood it from the above that theres no places left, so I gave up on joining in and have made alternative plans with friends. Hopefully next time.

I dont wish to turn this into something else but if you read the previous threads and the times they were posted there is 2hrs and 20mins difference from the last time I looked on this site, to when someone had a space free, in this time I had already made plans. I was merely pointing out why I cant come tomorrow.

It was an awesome day for me - by far the best snow conditions I've seen for a while, perfect weather and not too many people. I'm looking forward to the next time!

owain and jeeves did i leave my black hat in your car by any chance... i am really emotionaly attatched to it it was given to me by my grand father on his death bed with the dying words " lad wear this when your having sex naked in the snow and then you wont catch your death like i did last week with granny". such moving words such kind gestures. i want my hat back, sex in the snow just isn't the same without it.

Not unless it turned into a bottle of fruit juice overnight, no.
