If Vettel repeats his performance in the next 2 races and Button and Barrichello repeat theirs, then Vettel will be champion. It's long but look what happened to Kimi in 2007.
Silly Point
With Baricello driving the same car as Button, his chances of making up the ground look pretty slim, but Vettel is still in with a shout. McClaren, Ferrari, Force India, Toyota and BMW are all capable of beating the Brawns, so if Vettel wins the next two, there is an outside chance that there will be enough cars between him and Button to make up the points difference. Button has said that the next two tracks will suit the Brawns better, but I reckon his bum must be getting squeakier with every passing race.

I'd actually like to see Vettel win now. I think he's the best driver. Indeed I think he may even be in the same class as Hamilton and having those two go head to head in equal equipment is something we should look forward to in the next few years.

So it's Barichello's home race next. I expect him to get overexcited and put it in the fence.

And I expect to see Button complaining about something. He has it offered to him on a plate and only has himself to blame if he does not take it.

Though my bet is on Button, I still find something is missing in him to make it big. He somehow lacks the urge which he showed in the season beginning.

He's a very very good driver in a car setup to his liking. I've lost faith in his ability to make things happen when they aren't going his way.

Heres a look at the venue for the Abu Dhabi GP....

The gossip is Kubica will sign the contract with Renault tomorrow to become a lead driver as of 2010 for the French team, possibly accompanied by Kovalainen who almost certainly will not have a contract prolonged by Mclaren.
For the first time in quite a few years it seems that a lot of drivers will change teams and a few rookies will join the new teams as well!

What are your bets for 2010 line up?

Here is my guess:
Ferrari - Alonso, Massa
McLaren - Hamilton, Raikkonen
Renault - Kubica, Kovalainen
Red Bull - Vettel, Weber
Brawn - Button, Rosberg
Williams - Huelkenberg, Barrichello
Force India - Sutil, Liuzzi
Torro Rosso - Buemi, Loeb (!)
Toyota - Glock, Heidfeld
USF1 - Patrick, Villeneuve
Campos - Gene, De La Rosa
Lotus - ??
Manor (or Virgin) - ??
Quadbak Sauber (if they will race in 2010) - ??

Good drivers on the market: Grosjean, Di Grassi, Pantano, Petrov, Davidson...

A short quizz - anyone recognizes these 3 young gentlemen?
Old good days in F3

How many stickers are allowed on one car?

Easy - Hamilton, Kubica, Rosberg

I only saw Hamilton in GP2, though.

Well, what can you say. The best man won. Well done to Button for winning the 2009 WDC, he was without a doubt, the best man of the year. Congrats to Webber for his second F1 victory too. Brazil never fails to entertain, and that was certainly no exception. Bring on 2010!!

Yep, well done Jenson, and well done Brawn. Great drive from Vettel and Hamilton, too. A good race to watch all round.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Webbo...nearly forgotten out front!

I totally agree, Well done Button!

I'm looking forward to the next race, We'll see just how Brawn can race without the constraints of a championship hanging over their heads.

There are several things that are remarkable about their situation in the last few races: I think that button has suffered several fold, all of which have compounded and made him look inferior.

1)He's been unlucky with practice and qualifying like in japan where he didn't actually have a complete unhindered lap to make a qualifying time, and Brazil too.

2)Ros Brawn has always made the free practice a time for working through the test scenarios for the actual race which sadly never gave Jenson the chance to have a practice qualifying dry run in the same way all his compatriots were able to do. This has put him at a major disadvantage as far as qualifying is concerned

3)It looks like: After the first 7,8 or 9 races Baricello decided that he was not going to contribute to Jensons' race setup. I have this feeling that there was a point when Baricello decided his contribution to the team and general car set up was best kept to himself.

4)Don't forget that Ros Brawn is the greatest F1 tactician ever. He has been looking at the victory (world championship) for 6 or so races and knew that they would be strong in the last two races. Which meant that Jenson only had to finish races in the points to win. He also knew that Red bull were short on engines so finishes were their main objective, forcing red bull into pushing as hard as they could with a weak engine. All of which contributed to making them look slower than they otherwise could have been.

Of course next year the honey moon period is over, there will be no seven race advantage, Jenson will be up against Hamilton in a competitive car from the start, Ferrari will have Alonso! and Kubizzza will be with Toyota. The real question is will Brawn win any races? If You were Button would you move teams?

I add my congratulations to Button and Brawn a great achievement for a rookie team, and big kudo's to Ross Brawn for including and thanking the employees that had to be laid off, a real Gent. Oh and thank you very much BBC for giving me an ear worm, I have had "nobody does it better" going around my head since last night!!
