Hi,
My name is Jason I have moved to Sievershütten, which is in between Henstedt Ulzburg & Kaltenkirchen. I moved there about a year ago with my partner Katja. Sievershütten is really quiet so i am hoping through Toytown to meet more people in a similar situation to us.
I work away alot, usually for 6 - 8 weeks at a time, when I am home its usually for a month off, as katja still has to work I have alot of free time on my hands and would like to fill this with something productive or rewarding or both.
Happy to hear from anyone at all either English or German speaking I really don't mind.
Thanks
Jason

If you are into flying model aircraft
Kaltenkirchen is THE place and Michael Kröger is a world-class aeromodeller who's reputation was known in UK before I came out here - and thats ages ago...
Or learn to fly real planes as I did - and learn the language in the process...

Buy a motorcycle and explore the countryside (when it's warmer of course). This is a great country for motorcycles.

I tried flying model airplanes once made a complete hash of it...crashed and burned lol, I did start learing to fly helicopters but the 200 quid an hour was really hitting the pocket, thanks for the tip though.
Motorbikes, I'm thinking about buying a Vespa, a 125cc though, Katja and i hired one in Rome last year and loved, your right about the countryside though, lots of people have said it is the place to ride a motorbike.
Cheers

Its the one that appealed to me the most, thought it might help with work too. Where do you live?

@ Lemming, not sure if you're last post was directed to me, but I live in Grosshansdorf. Small bikes don't work so well with two up for long distances. If you want to buy a scooter find, but make it a minimum of 450cc. Personally, I like motorcycles and ride a 1600cc Kawasaki Nomad (Classic Cruiser here in the EUR). Two-wheeled transport is easy to ride, less expensive that a car, good for the commute to work and easier to park. Think about it. And of course, you need the appropriate license. Ken

Hi Jason,
I moved to Norderstedt with my partner (now my wife), a German, five years ago. Not that far from Sievershütten. I reckon I could be up for an English-speaking beer or coffee some time!

There is a reasonably established English speaking group in Kiel - aging from 20 up to 50, with regular meetings, chats, pubs, bars etc...
Anyone welcome! Let me know if you need details..
