Ever heard of Bikram Yoga?
Pioneered by Bikram Choudhury, Bikram Yoga, also known as Hot Yoga is a series of 26 poses plus two breathing exercises practiced in a room heated to approx 40°C. Classes last 90 minutes. As you can imagine, a vigorous yoga session at this temperature promotes profuse sweating which rids the body of toxins. It also good for the following reasons.
*Weight loss
*Greatly improved muscle tone and strength
*Improved flexibility
*Greater energy levels and feelings of vitality
*An increased sense of wellbeing and connectedness to the environment around them
*Improved digestion
*Less requirement for sleep and/or heavy foods
*A greater awareness of how factors such as sleep, diet and stress can impact on your physical body
I started Bikram Yoga 4 months before moving here to Germany in September last year. In my first 2 months of practising without evening trying I lost 15kg!
I've been here for 5months now and need to get back into exercise. I have found the following Studio http://bikramyoga-nuernberg.de/index.html which has lessons on Thursdays but if we are able to get a group of 5 people together can arrange a class at a time which suits us.
