Realtors for house or apartment rental in Trier

I am seeking information on realtors that others may recommend to help me in finding a rental house in the area of Trier. Also, what is the typical fee? I have heard from one month to three months rent. Any advice/assitance great appreciated!

What kind of help do you need and where do you want to go? If you use an agent's services you have to expect to pay his/her fee, which is usually 2 - 3 times monthly rental. The fee is negotiable but the agent won't tell you that. Of course it's not negotiable after you've made the deal. The local papers, especially on Saturday are full of offers. Trier itself is surrounded by little villages where prices are usually much more attractive than in the city.

Thank you for your reply. I will collect some newspapers this weekend. I am hoping to find something in the area of Trier that has a bit of a yard. The tricky piece is that I have four small dogs (total weight equal to one medium dog). I figured a realtor could cut to the chase on finding a place that will accept the dogs and I wouldn't have to burden my co workers who are being tremendously generous with their time, but they have their own lives. Maybe I could just hire a local to help me with contacts and take the final paperwork to my office for others to check out?
