Every now and again I enjoy an evening of drinkning Kölsch. You know the beer, it comes in 100 or 200mL is ice cold and they usually replace your glass when you have only one sip left. I know it isn't the best beer, but I like it every now and again. DOes anyone have a recommendation of a place in Muenchen that serves this water from Cologne (I only say that because I was told it is not beer if it comes from outside of Bayern)? So please write if you know of a place where you can get kölsch and flammküchen!

I make my own tarte flambée, but you can get Früh Kolsch at Schmock, a Jewish/Kosher restaurant and bar in the Augustenstr. And very nice it is too. Actually I tend to have Flammküchen with Federweisser (like in the Pfalz or Baden).

There's regular Kölsch Musik nights in Munich. I went to one at a club out of town for Karnival a few weeks back and also to one at Ostbanhof on a Tuesday.
What a great bunch of Fritz's these guys are! Such an improvement on the dour Muncheners.
The Karnival party was smashing. Loads of utterly cute ladies wearing nurses gear and police uniforms. Really friendly and smiley and throroughly warm and un-shicky micky.
(Just wanted to be nice about Fritz for once. Fair is fair.)
