Just curious to see if anyone is going, I am beginning to think I am the only Def Leppard fan left in Munich!

I wish you were the only Def Leppard fan left in the world - they might call it a day if you were...

They aren't that bad.
Quite endearing really

They do know how to put on a good concert though.

Are they still around?
I bet there'll be a lot of mullets, moustaches and acid wash jeans in the crowd

WOW! Def Leppard! I saw them in concert about 12 years ago and even then folks were asking if they're still around.
Another sing along!
Poor some sugar on me...

They are still going strong, probably not as big as they once were but they are fantastic in concert, well worth seeing again.
You can't beat the classics!

Oooh, didn't know that. And they're supported by Skid Row. Their big hit "18 and life" was one of my favourites when it was released.

Skid Row!!! How much 'Cock Rock' can you handle on one night??
I once saw them supporting Guns n' Roses, back in about 1992.

Nov 10 2003, 5:16 pm
I didn't know that Skid Row were still about until I saw the Def Leppard concert advertised. They also have someone called Rickz Warwick supporting, I have never heard of him before.
Should be a good night.
You never know what you are missing.

I'm confused Hazza. Does this mean you like cock rock?
A board of Def Leppard fans. Hmmm. Dodgy.

Wow! Apparently nothing sets these guys back. Drummer loses an arm? Party Time! Van flips and kills a member or two? Let's rock! Drugs and aging slowing you down? Bring on the groupies!
kewl...

I think you are confusing the Leps with Metallica or someone similar. Their guitarist did die but that was a mixture of painkillers and alochol.
You have to admire them though, still going, nearly 25 years later.
Not a lot of bands can say that.
I guess you either like them or loth them.

Damn tickets appear to be all gone. There's was I ready to cancel my fitness assessment and don me ripped jeans ready to scream out "You got the peaches, I got the cream" and it got pulled away from me.

C'mon, everyone who was in their late teens, early twenties in the late 80's, early 90's has seen at least one cock-rock band.

Most, with the notable exceptions of cock rock, country and pop.

Cock rock was a laugh at the time. Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction were my pick of the bunch at the time. He was cock rock at its finest. Not great music perhpas, but great days, great days.

Are you kidding. I grew up with Def Leppard. Actually, come to think of it, I believe my sister snogged one of them. I know she played football with Joe Elliot for definite.

Lucky sister

I was having a look at the playlists from the other concerts on this tour and it looks like a really good line up.
Have you ever seen them in concert before?
I am really looking forward to tomorrow night, there is nothing like a good rock concert. I want to bring my camera but am a bit worried that they might take it at the door. Think I might risk it anyway.

I saw them playing in a club in Dublin years ago. Can't remember the name of the place now. Fantastic gig though!
I'll be bringing my camera, but then it's small enough to go into the pocket of the ripped jeans.
Tallicame
Nov 11 2003, 3:10 pm
Ohhh, I could try something like that as well. Although my camera is a little bit bulky for the pocket, still I could maybe manage something.
I've seen them in Belfast twice and both concerts were fantastic.
Not big venues so you really got a good atmosphere, they just seem to love the performance.

Excellent stuff! Really looking forward to it now.
My girlfriend was born the same year as Def Leppard brought out their first album. She's not a big fan, but hopefully after tomorrow night she'll be somewhat converted. Either that or turned off rock forever. Let's hope it's the former.

Spent last night listening to all the albums, am so looking forward to this concert tonight. It's going to be great!
The sooner it's 5.30 and I can get out of work the better.
Heading straight to the concert from here, camera at the ready.

Yeah, same here. My sister has requested a lock of Joe Elliott's hair, so if you see a guy getting thrown out by security after trying to get onto the stage with a pair of scissors, then that's most likely me.
Tallicame
Nov 12 2003, 2:31 pm
I will give you you a legs up to get to the stage
You can grab some for me while you are up there!
Got XP installed in work today and all the albums which I had copied on to my computer have now stopped working, was hoping to listen to Def Leppard all day to get in the mood, drat and darn!
Only another few hours to go!

Morning keydeck.
Well what did you think of the concert?
Really enjoyed it myself, took lots and lots of pictures I still have to look through them to see if they have come out alright.
Generally, just a good nights craic

Very tried this morning and my ears are still ringing.

Quick couple of words.
Ricky Warwick...Excellent! Must get his CD
Skid Row...Genug ist genug. Give it over lads.
Def Leppard...Top drawer! As expected.
Less people than I expected. Sound levels were a bit dodgey which resulted in uncrisp guitar sounds. Ageing rockers can still party!
Have lots of photos & videos which I'll hopefully put onto my website this evening along with a proper review of the gig.
Money well spent!

Nov 13 2003, 9:46 am
She coped fine although I don't think she's ready to get a perm and don a Lep t-shirt just yet. She enjoyed the second half of the set more than the first because she recognised some of the songs from me belting them out in GP. If you're not a big rock fan and haven't heard the stuff before then it's tough to get into it, but I was very proud that she gave it a go and on the whole enjoyed the evening.

Great Pictures!
The quality in mine was pretty much the same, I must have taken about 150 but only 40 or so were actually ok. Took little video clips with the camera as well but the noise was just too much for the little mic and you can't even hear the music half the time. Still nice though.
I will have to go and have a look at your website for the rest.
