Skiing at Christlum - Sunday 29.Jan.2005

I had a pretty good time, not as good as usual due to forgetting how to ski. Sucking for the first couple of hours is pretty normal for me, but I usually get the hang of it eventually. Didnt quite go as well yesterday, I did get the hang of it nicely in the afternoon, but by then my legs and feet were pretty fucked. Overall it was ok for a first ski since 2 years. Got a couple of nice runs in, but decided to call it a day around 4:30... The weather was great but it gets cold pretty quickly once the sun goes behind the mountains eh?

I really got to do something about my fitness etc, it was pretty much my puny leg muscles to blame I think... At the moment I am 50/50 intending to go back next weekend... Have to see how quickly I recover.

AAAAAAAH!!! that's horrible... i am SO SORRY! i woke up with a terrible sore throat and feeling like shit... i only had bastian's number so i texted him @ 5:30, but didn't get any reply. i assumed it would be ok because i was only taking my boyfriend in my car - didn't realize i was the only snowboard space available for two people.

i was only kidding, forgot to post the winking smiley. WE manage to put the snowboards in my car and redistribute a few people. We managed to get BostonSportsFan into another car.

where he promptly fell asleep just after we turned off the motorway... bless him

Yeah, FlyGuy, bring those pics up, I wanna see canuck covered in snow again. Man, you better get some shorter skis so you can keep up with us in the backcountry.

I would have all let you know earlier that Izabella is not coming if we would have had the right meeting place. Sorry bout that, I didnt think about replying to the SMS, too. Actually, thinking wasnt much of a priority at all yesterday morning at 6 o clock...

@ OG - i want to hate you... but i'm so relieved, i can't! my poor boyfriend just had to comfort me for 30 minutes as i lay curled up in bed cursing him for getting me sick and making him fully responsible for two boarders sitting in munich on a gorgeous sunny day in full boarding regalia

May I suggest that someone rents a mini bus from Sixt or such like and all meet at Ost BH?

Shouldnt cost too much is you all split the difference

costs more than using our own cars, tho. Minibus for the day would cost about €80 and seat 12, with no space for skis and boards, which means we would have needed two. The petrol wasn't that much for the four/five cars that went.

correction: more like €120 for a 9 seater, newer German driving licences don't allow you to drive 12 seaters like in the UK.

true, i used a qurater tank yesterday which works out at around 10-12 euros. i took oscars pocket money to pay for his share. na seriously those costs are sooo small its not worth getting vans etc. also, although theoreticly ostbahnhof is an ideal place to meet, for me personaly its a bitch to get to!
