Hi there
My Bank is insisting I get this document - Does anybody know where I can get this in Norderstedt, ie which department would I need to see? Also what documents woudl I need to bring? Do you get in straight away?
Any ideas??
Many thanks

Your local auslanderamt. You need your passport, meldungschein, and work contract/proof of employment/proof of independent funds. Possibly health insurance, though they didn't ask me for that.
They typed mine up on the spot.

Thanks RainKing, only one question...what is a meldungschein?

The piece of paper you should have got when you first registered your address.

I got my Freizügigskeitbescheinigung from the local Bezirkamt. I took along my passport and anmeldenschein, the chap was pretty happy with that.

Hmmm...don't think I got that piece of paper when I first registered. They just sent me away with another form and told me to come back...I have all the other documents though.

Have you asked your bank why they need your "Freizügigkeitsbescheinigung"? While they are entitled to ask for whatever they want, it's an unusual request if you have an EU passport and evidence of permanent accommodation (Wohnungsanmeldung)

Agree YorkshireLad, I have actually told them twice now that surely you have seen my passport, tax card, work contract, tenancy agreement - why do you need it? Actually a colleague of mine asked him the same question rather more forcefully...
The guy is nice enough, but is insisting on this document...which is annoying as I have to take time off work to go

I was told I could get the document from here: Kreis Segeberg, Ausländerbehörde, Hamburger Straße 3023795 Bad Segeberg. Anyone been there before?

Are you an EU National trader? If you are, the local Bezirkamt can deal with you, and you dont need to go to an Aüsländerbehörde for this document. With regards the bank, tell the chap at the Bank you will go and open an account elsewhere.

Hello!
Did you managed to make this document? I need to make it urgent too. How it was? Very easy and fast, oder? And you went to Segeberg?

if someone is making them, maybe they can make 20 or 30 copies? They are often requested on Toytown, so to have a reliable source would be very valuable to other members...

Sorry havent seen this thread for a while...Yes I'm an EU National, the bank is still insisting on this, very annoying. I havent been to Segeberg to sort this out yet, but I will probably be going in the next week. I fully expect to be sent back and told I don't have the correct documents to get this document....!

What are you trying to do at the bank for them to want to see this document? I opened an account at the Sparkasse and they only asked for my anmeldung and passport. Maybe you just need to change banks.

Yeah was quite easy to open the account with Sparkasse, this is for credit card only they need to see the document.
