Another poll question for my party this Friday, Nov. 14th. See Farewell Party in Munich Nightlife for full details. Know i'm trying to find a DJ, and I would like to see what type of music the TT crowd perfers... so let me know.

Yes, I'm completely openning myself up here for ridicule, now that I've already admitted going to a Def Leppard concert, but you forgot to list Country Western.

Country & Western is hardly known here in Europe...way not as much as in the US.

That's funny, according to the MTV European music awards, until a couple years ago, Country was the top selling genre around the world (when Hip-Hop passed it up). Maybe that just means Americans spend the most money on music, or MTV is just wrong. . . I'm certainly no expert.

well there are a lot of americans buying music.
but i'm afraid as sparty said, country and western ain't that popular here.
Although I do remember that in the nevada desert it was the only station that we could get in the middle of nowhere!

Good people of Toytown: 80s/90s??? Please re-evaluate your lives. NOW.

Sorry, I should have known that the poll was only meant for the Europeans on this site and didn't necessarily mean to include Americans. Not surprising

Jimbo, chart music in the 80's and some of the 90's was primarily shite. Much as it is now. But that period saw some of the most talented & most successful bands ever.

i don't care how talented they were, i can hear that shite at any disco / bar i want in munich. something a little different or interesting would be good.

thanks for the offer Pointman, and yes, I am unable to make it.
Just to clarify though, while I do enjoy country music, I don't usually find it the most enjoyable genre at a party and can promise that we didn't play any at our wedding reception. Not there this is anything wrong with if someone else reading this board did.
