Anyone any idea why the pages links in My Assistant, New Posts are arranged IMHO illogically like this:
« Next page Previous Page »
instead of more logically like this:
« Previous Page Next page »
The latter seems more intuitive to me...

I can't quite figure out the answers to either of those probing questions. But on TT I stick to Today's Topics, as it presents in the Old Skool way I am used to.

On TT each of those lists has its own separate filtering system.
I don't know what the hell is up with Facebook.

You create a social network that becomes a success. So as a designer that became rich you can afford better drugs. You end up not working as much but you smoke more. So you are high more often and little things you design become big things in your mind. Case in point Facebook.

So you mean if TT ever becomes a success Editor Bob will take more drugs?

Today's topics are all new posts or those that have been replied to today while My new posts are the ones you haven't read (marked as read). I actually use this a lot. You can scan over the subjects and if there's nothing interesting, you can just mark them as read and they will not show up again until there is a new reply.

I can't figure why you need 2 filterable results buttons.
If Today's topics only shows today's stuff it would make a wee bit of sense - but it also shows yesterday's?
My New Posts would make sense if it was new stuff since last logged in - but it isn't that either.
Fucked if I can work it all out and I run 5 websites myself and am on here every day.

I still prefer the Old Skool version where the little (blue or red) folders are lightened if I am caught up on the thread, and dark if there are new posts, or if they are new threads.

Thanks LeonG. Sussed it now!!
"Active topics from the last 24 hours" - so it is TODAY's in fact. Makes sense.
And if I mark everything as READ in the MY NEW POSTS and I can just see new stuff.
Gets weird as I clearly have used a filter on one or the other and they are out of SYNC so results are nutty.
Seems to involve some thought and interraction - limited commodities over on my side of the keyboard.
Errrrrrrr
But surely by definition, MY NEW POSTS will chronologically show posts from the last 24 hours anyway, in exactly
the same order as TODAY's TOPICS. Then again if you mark as read they will be gone for ever. I dunno. Does my
pea-brained head in.

If you lose some posts from "My new posts" because you read them or marked them read, you can find them again in "Today's topics"
