Hi Everyone. This is my first post here. I moved here to be with my husband who is currently stationed at the Spangdahlem Air Base in the late summer. Since then we've only been to Trier and haven't done much traveling because, I guess we're scared of the whole language barrier thing I guess. Haha. Well, there's a 3 day weekend coming up and he is going to Iraq in a month and we want to do something fun before he leaves and I'm wondering if you all have any suggestions for the Landscheid, Spangdahlem, Trier, Wittlich, etc. area. Are there any fun events coming up? Any ice rinks or things like that to go to? Nice restaurants for February 14? Thanks for all the help.
P.S. Also, we're both korean and we're wondering if there is any korean/asian store that can provide any korean ingredients for us so that we can cook some home food. Thanks for the help in advance everyone.

Welcome to the area. It's a bit isolated at Spangdahlem but to answer your question there's an ice rink in Trier. Take the road out towards Igel and Luxembourg and it's just off the main road, which I think is Zewener Strasse. That's the opposite side of the river to the main town. I don't know what you call fun, but there's also a Kart racing track in Wittlich if you haven't found it already. There are many good restaurants in the area, but you may find that many are taking their annual holiday at this time of year.
There's a good Asian store in Trier but they've moved since I was last there so I'll need to ask my wife where they are now. If I don't come back on this PM me and it'll prod me to get the info. There's also a very good Thai/Vitenamese Restaurant in Bernkastel-Kues if that's of interest. I'm afraid I don't really know Korean food.

Follow up to last posting:
The "Asia Shop" is on Deutschherren Strasse and there's parking directly opposite.
