Sweety das Küken - Cell phone ringtone

Ok quick rant... I always have MTV on in the background right, and you know how every commercial break consists of like 50 ads for handy stuff? Well there is this ringtone that they play like 5 times in one comercial break and ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY! I can't understand why anyone would want that? Its the little chicken..Sweety das Küken... what do u think of it?

well you know, like, its kind of like annoying to have MTV on in general I would say, like

the advert with that frog thing in does my nut in..and it's coming up as a pop-up ad now too.

You can ask my flatmate how I feel about that stupid yellow piece of crap. Okay maybe that says it all. I feel like hurling the TV out the window everytime that commercial comes on which is usually 3 times every commercial break.

I was on the bus headed to TB last weekend when someone's cell phone rang and she had that as her ringtone. My nails dug into the seat. Then it rang a second time 5 min later. So I grabbed her cell phone, stepped on it a bunch of times and throw it out the bus window...okay I didn't but I wanted to.

i have only come across this advert once (cos I rarely watch German commercial TV) but this one time it was one continuous loop for about 10 minutes.

'I may be soft, I may be sweet, but baby I know how to move my feet' followed by something completely indecipherable!

Does anyone have any idea what the marketing department is thinking? I have a feeling subliminal messages are involved.

I don't watch TV normally but I did a bit on holiday so I caught this SHITE!

Actually all those bloody commercials for those ring tones drive me nuts, The Frog, the Chick, that stupid group- Nu Pagado (or how ever the fuck they are spelt). The play them over and over again in the commercial break. Drives me nuts!

You could of course all turn off the TV and go outside and get some fresh air.

Of course the entire ring tone franchise is very VERY out of hand on MTV...every two minutes for the SAME ring tone. What is up with advertising here? I dunno.

They have a new one for the chicken with a funkier beat. Perhaps that will help. We certainly don't want hammers and fists through television sets...no that is just not on.

Yeah it annoys me, on the couple of times I had seen it. But then I am not used to ads in general. It only annoyed me as much as most ads on TV. Or most of the actual shows on tv for that matter. I can hardly tell the difference between the music videos on MTV and the ring tone ads. Both are trying to sell me a lifestyle using annoying jingles and something to stare at. Turns me right off. I do like the way that ringtones help fulful the old adage "a fool and their money are soon parted".

@blimeygirl.. the funkier beat doesn't help at all.. might even make it worse.. like they know its shit and are trying to make it cool by adding a cool beat to it.. not workin tho.

Actually my buddy at VeriSign was in charge of buying Jamba and (in theory) is in charge of the division... I've asked him if he can use some pull and do something about the f'ing ads... however, he tells me the younger folks respond well to that crap...
