I have read in the lastest, "In München" Zeitschrift that there are many hair removal places. I was wondering has anyone done this? My back is not anything like the hairy men on, "Guess the Chest" forum, but I do seem to have in the last few years developed sparse, but prevelant enough, hair on my back.
How much does laser hair removal cost usually?
Does it work?
And how many visits?

I had Laser hair removal for the Bikini zone, cost me €149 per session, and I needed 5 sessions over a 9 month period. I went to DeaDerma, a clinic/salon at Parisier platz. I can send you the name and address if you want? I was very happy with the results.
More tea, Vicar?

In Blighty you can get laser treatment quite easily at various places. The costs depend on the amount of work done, and they usually need to check firts that your skin isn't too dark too respond (e.g. from a sun tan). If you are back for a few days check out places before on Yahoo.
Why not go into a women's beauty salon in Munich and ask? Women are not as squeemish as men about this kind of thing because they take hair removal as, if not more, seriously.
Of course all this is hearsay, and I have absolutely no experience in the matter whatsoever.

i did this back home in the states and it continues to be fabulous. i did it in a small town and it cost me $140/hour, and usually went for thirty minutes, every 8 weeks. totally worth it.
sadly, i don't know anything about LHR in the munich area. keep posting! i'd like to finish up what i started!

DeaDerma is a cosmetic studio, with Laser treatement, more than just hair removal, also pigment removal. Its at ParisierPl 4 (I believe).
I have experience there with Laser hair removal, its not cheap, but nothing in Munich is. They do a consult first, then give you a price per appointment, and about how many appointments you need. Most removals need about 4-5 appointments, I was told. I am very happy with my personal results, and would refer anybody to go to DeaDerma.

Laser hair removal is good for only specific conditions. (Ie, not blonds with pale skin!) Other than that...It would depend on the laser, the technician, the hair density, color, and skin. Not to mention your pain threshold. (sorry my spelling sucks tonight!)
I worked for a plastic surgeon before moving here. Had laser treatment done and of course had no results, which is worse than limited results if you ask me. The best is on darker, coarser hair. If you have a tan, expect to lose it if you get a treatment. Your basically burning off skin cells along with the hair follicals. (yes, ouch!)

Wouldn't some Rubbing Alcohol and a lighter be cheaper, at burning off hair..

Here's info about the dermatologist who did mine. I'd never have it done by a non-doctor, lasers are serious business and I'd rather go to someone who knows what they are doing.

Hello all,
I am curious to know if anyone here has undergone laser hair removal in Munich. If so, where did you go and how would you rate the service? (Price, professionalism and of course the results!)
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

And what's wrong with a hairy back (or chest for that matter). I love the stuff and after years seeing everyone wax, shave, laser or electrocute, i'm happy to notice that hair is coming back into fashion...and about time too. (oh except for nose and ear hair..). Perhaps people got fed up of the pain involved with certain hair removal techniques (anyone see the CH4 prog about two years ago where a guy had his balls waxed...talk about painful watching)

I'm considering a brazilian style lasering, does anyone have any experience with this?
I've seen a friend who had a normal bikini lasering which left severe burn marks on her skin therefore am a bit hesitant on having the whole shebang lasered off.

Try talking to Jeanette Boszczyk-Leser at
The SalonDon't be put off by the name, she still has a very strong South African accent (and sense of humour !! )

it works best on people who have light skin and dark hair -- the stronger the contrast between skin and hair, the lower the laser will have to be set. it's also a good idea to shave the areas you'll have lasered just before you go in. as i understand it, the energy from the laser travels down the hair and explodes the follicle, and if the hair sits on your skin then you can get a bit singed by it.

Has anybody tried that IPL(Intensed Pulsed Light) treatment for hair removal? There are alot of new places opening up offering this, and its not as expensive as lasering. I was just wondering about the success rate and the pain levels of doing it.
okay bit the bullet and went back to Wellano DeaDerma clinic for more lasering. They have a special right now about 30% off at the moment - til April 15th. Bikini 125 per session, Underarms 95 persession

I have had a 2 IPL treatments in Australia - got sick of getting brazillian waxes, so decided to make it permanent! Does anyone have experience with ´The Salon´?

really? I had my worst waxing done there, that is why I went elsewhere for the laser in Munich. I suffered a month of ingrown hairs because they cannot rip the wax fast enough!
