hello!
My name is Heather, I'm from the USA, and am currently an au pair for a lovely family in Solln. I've been browsing TT for a while and am ready to start participating-- hopefully I'll be able to go to one of the meet-ups this weekend.
I've been here for two months and have enjoyed exploring Munich.
I look forward to meeting some of you!
'till later,

Hi

My name is Kate. I'm here working in Feldkirchen (SBahn 2) as an aupair for a very nice family. I'm originally from Chicago although I also hold Irish citizenship.
I've been in Munich for a little over two months now, but as of yet haven't meet any native English speakers, so I thought I'd introduce myself and see if anyone was going to the Lange Museum Nacht this Saturday.
I hope to meet some of you soon

~Kate

Hi Everyone,
My name is Theresa. I am from the States, Michigan. I have been here for 4 months now and am a bit bittersweet about being here. I love the city of Munich, everything that it has to offer, but definately miss home. I will be here for a total of a year for work at an automotive company hired for the E7xM Project for BMW doing Logistics. I have, as of this year, taken 8 1/2 years of German, and still leave something to be desired in my speech. Everything has been going great living in Schwabing! Now if I can find myself some English speaking comrades, I would be all set.
I look forward to meeting all of you.
Drinks, game night, dancing, clubs, dinner... anything fun.
Read you later,
Teo

Hello,
Ich bin Adriana.
My husband introduced me to TT a few months ago, when we first realized we might be moving to Germany. So, after a whirlwind of selling all my furniture stuffs and packing the books away and saying good-bye to my family... here we are. Four weeks have flown by and I feel like I'm just getting to know Munich and feeling semi-comfortable in my skin. I still bristle at the sound of my broken German when I try to communicate the simplest of things, but alas, I had never thought of learning German before this!
I am an artist and designer and I hope to find those basic needs in Munich: a creative outlet, a job hopefully, good people, fun times, and happy memories.

Hi everybody,
I'm a Germany oldtimer, having lived here for the past 23 years, ever since I was eleven, but I was born and raised in the US. Having German parents, I'm bilingual, and really miss speaking English a lot. Now I have a nine month-old son whom I speak only English to, his dad and just about everybody else speaks German with him. I lived in Munich for nineteen years and moved to Murnau, my husband's home town, four years ago. My search for an english speaking playgroup for my baby led me to this forum, and I really hope to find some other english speaking parents of young kids close by to hang out with.

Hi Everyone,
I just moved to Munich this last Sunday from California (in time for the cold weather!!!)
I'm in my twenties and hope to find some other young people on here to socialize with.
I'm here working as a nanny, so I would also love to meet with English speaking moms and nannies

Feel free to PM me.

Hi!
I live in North Carolina USA. I am an elementary school library teacher. I may be coming to Munich for a month this summer to study for my library science degree. I was looking to learn about kayaking in Munich and found this site. Hope I get to visit this summer.

Hello all!
I'll be arriving in Munich on January 11th and will be staying for a year with my boyfriend. I'm a little concerned about meeting people, but I know that I'll meet some awesome people here.

Hi All,
I have been reading the threads and posts for a while before deciding to sign up. I think TT is a great outlet to meet new people! Moved to Germany from Malaysia about 4 years ago, married to a German. Our ''hometown'' is Straubing, that is where husband's family lives, but formerly, we were living in Stuttgart. We just moved to Munich 3 weeks ago, set up home here due to husband's work. We are still orientating ourselves and have a number of questions related to work/life here in this city - oh yes, and am a mother-to-be in March 2009 (first timer, so brillantly excited!!)
I have taken up German language courses at VHS and am still

at the language at times!! As English is my first language, I look forward to making new contacts here at TT!
Cheers,
Linda

Hi All!
After reading the forum for a while, here I am with my first post.
I moved to Munich at the beginning of October, I am from Italy but I have lived in the US (for one year, a long time ago... too long ago actually) and in Ireland (I came to Munich directly from Dublin).
I am trying to learn German but it is proving harder than expected... and I did not expect it too be easy!
I really hope to meet new people thanks to TT!
Cheers,
Silvia

Hi, I'm new to Toytown, at least new to posting. I'm from the UK and so far I'm enjoying life in Munich. It's the greenest city I've ever lived in and also the most beautiful. I hope I don't stop appreciating it.
