Table reservations for Oktoberfest 2009

Update: I've closed down business for this year

Whitney-Events
[floatright]Attached image[/floatright]Whitney-Events has been cooperating with various tents at the Oktoberfest since 2006 and is dedicated to taking the hassle out of your visit to this world-famous beer festival.

Thanks to the owner’s good connections to the tent managers, Whitney-Events is generally able to reserve tables for groups of anywhere from six, eight or ten to up to fifty people, purchase the beer and food vouchers and provide you and your guests with seating in most of the major tents. As soon as the tents begin processing reservations early in the year, your request including date, time and number of guests is forwarded to the tent of your choice and two back-up choices.

Due to the huge amount of requests received every year by the various tents, it is advisable to plan early. Since 2006, Whitney-Events was able to place app. 1500 satisfied customers in such large tents as the boisterous Hofbräu, the traditional Schottenhamel and the trendy Hippodrom, just to name a few, as well as the three smaller, more intimate Ammer, Hochreiter and Wildmoser tents.

***NEW*** Seating tickets are available for the parade on opening day with the decorated beer coaches carrying the waitresses and for the world-famous Traditional Costumes and Marksmen's Parade on the first Sunday. First come, first serve, the availability is limited! Costs app. €30 per seat.

The fees are modest; payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal.

Please note: The re-sale of any table reservations and vouchers purchased through Whitney-Events on such auction platforms as eBay and others is not permitted. The reservation will become invalid; the customer does not have the right to claim damages or compensation and may be liable to criminal charges!

***Business closed for the 2009 Oktoberfest as of 1 September 2009***

I have been contacted by the Hofbräu management. Effective immediately, they are not accepting reservation requests from commercial entities.

They are also not accepting large reservations, even from companies and clubs, in an attempt to make the Fest more accessible. There has been pressure from the tourist office and Hofbräu has made the most radical decision possible. The management confirmed explicitly that this refusal is not based on my performance.

This means that I can no longer include Hofbräu in my clients' reservation requets. I beg pardon for any inconvenience this may cause.
Renia
I hope that this does not go on to effect other tents . Crossing fingers my wished reservations work out with your company.
Whitney-Events
I have a real treat up for grabs: 18 (or 2x9) people on Sunday 4 October, 6pm through closing in the Wildmoser tent. Please PM me, first come, first serve.

As the beer prices have not been announced I cannot give a fixed price per person, two years ago it was €36, covering 2 beers (Hacker-Pschorr) and 1/2 roast duck.
Whitney-Events
The tables are taken.
Whitney-Events
Due to duplicate reservations I can offer the following dates:

Ammer
[s]Sunday 20 September 7pm - 11:30pm (late closing!) 7 ppl. €460 plus fees[/s]
[s]Monday 28 September 7pm through 11:30pm 9 ppl. (10 if everyone scooches up a little) €590 plus fees[/s]
and a biggie: [s]Monday 28 September 7pm through closing 36 ppl. - this can be broken down into 4x9 ppl. - app. €585 per table plus fees[/s]
I can only hold these until Friday of this week, i.e. 13th February, please contact me asap.

Wildmoser
another biggie: [s]Monday 21 September 6pm through 10:30pm [s]36 ppl.[/s] 18ppl.[/s] - this can be broken down into 2x9 ppl. - price per table not yet announced, in 2007 it was €36 per person, plus fees

So if your company doesn't have its regular table in one of the big tents, give the smaller ones a try. Convince HR and/or the boss that they won't regret it! Read up on the Wildmoser review linked two posts ago, take a look at the gallery. Ammer is similar, just because it doesn't have a review doesn't mean it doesn't rock!

P.S. Ammer taps its Augustiner fresh from wooden kegs!
Whitney-Events
18 seats in Wildmoser are confirmed, 18 or 2x9 are left.
Whitney-Events
One more Ammer reservation has become available due to relocation:

[s]Monday 21 September 7pm through 11:30pm 9 ppl. (10 if everyone scooches up a little) €590 plus fees[/s]
Mostly Harmless
I understand that you're running a business here, and I appreciate that contacts and organisation are often required, but surely that's quite a markup for Monday night tickets. It's no wonder the tents are looking for new ways to distribute their tickets.
Whitney-Events
I am afraid that you are under a misapprehension:

- There is no markup, the table price is the original price asked by the tent.
- The tent owner has not requested me to distribute the "tickets", I requested the reservations for clients who no longer need them for whatever reason (duplicate bookings, no longer located in Munich, etc.)
Maid marion
Hi,
just wanted to say have you the confirmation for the tables all night in the Ammer tent? If not make sure you get it has they have a habit of letting you stay one or two hours and then say the tables are reserved for later guests.Wouldn't want tt complaining now would we!...We all know the first person they would attack is you. ( People soon forget all the work and hours you put in when things dont go right to plan)
Whitney-Events
Thanks for the input, mm. The invoice here in front of me says 19-23.30h, no doubt about it. Notice the "23.30h" bit, the other tents close at 22.30h!
Whitney-Events
The Ammer Sunday evening reservation is gone.
The two Monday ones are still availble, please contact me if you're interested. The other 18 seats at Wildmoser are still available as well.
BigEnglish2009
Do you have anything for the evening session on Sat. 26th?
Whitney-Events
I'm waiting for responses from a couple of tents, there might be a spare set or two. Saturday evening reservations are scarcer than hens' teeth, though.
BigEnglish2009
But it IS my birthday..these people ought to know this!

Hello, I will be attending the Oktoberfest this year and I would like to make a reservation for a group of 10 people for Monday September 28 in the evening. Preferably in one of the big tents. Is this possible?
Whitney-Events
Monday 28 September is bespoken.

The two big reservations are still available (18 seats in Wildmoser, 36 in Ammer).
Bilko
Anything for Okt 4th?

...what does bespoken mean... in the context of your posts?
Whitney-Events
Bespoken means someone has inquired about it. It is now reserved for the client pending confirmation.

I am still waiting for responses from the tents regarding 4 October, I'll be in touch if you're interested. How many people, what time?
Owain Glyndwr
i was wondering about that. Seemed strange that a reservation could be betrothed or even custom-made.
Bilko
Hi,

I was looking for six tickets, but i'd take more if they only came in blocks of e.g. ten etc. Preferably in the evening of 4th Okt.

cheers
Whitney-Events
So, the bespoken and reserved Monday 28 September reservation is now confirmed.

*I like making people happy!*
mikem409
do you have anything on sunday the 27th for 2 people?
Whitney-Events
No. You should not have a problem getting into one of the tents on a Sunday evening if there's only two of you.
March up to the main or side entrance (if they don't have the signs up "Wegen Überfüllung geschlossen"), go inside and ask politely if you can join a party already at a table in the non-reserved section ("Ist hier Platz für zwei?"). Or just show two fingers and point at the table.
You'll be surprised how quickly you'll make new friends.
mikem409
thanks for the advice whitney i am coming from michigan first trip to oktoberfest and europe still trying to figure out how everything works
AlohaPML
Just sent you a PM...but really looking for whether you have any seating available for the opening day of Oktoberfest 9/19/09 (perferably evening)? In particular, hoping to get seating in the Hippodrom of Schottenhammel tents for 4 people. However, I'm willing to pay for a larger table if it's available.

I realize that a Staurday night reservation would be very hard to come by.

I'm also curious whether reservations are generally avialable for the 12:00 noon tapping of the first keg or if it is on a first come, first served, basis? If reservations are available...any chance there would be something in the tents identified above?
Whitney-Events
It's almost impossible to get a reservation for Saturday 19 September. If you want to watch Ude pop the keg's cherry you have to more or less camp outside overnight.
Remember, the tents have outside beergardens. If the weather isn't exactly pouring rain and freezing wind you will be comfy there with the right clothing.

Sometimes my clients reserve a table of 10 for a group of 6 or 7. I always tell them to look for good company on the exchange thread, follow that advice and you could get lucky (especially if my clients are Northern Irish firefighters and you and your friends are a group of buxom ladies).
AlohaPML
Is Sunday 9.20 as bad as the opening Saturday? If I look at the Weisenmeter, it looks like the morning/afternoon is a peak period, but in the evening things start to open up? Let me know if you think that's accurate (I appreciate your insight) and whether you have any tables available for Sunday (20 Sept)...which I'm guessing is also a long shot .

All the best and Aloha!
Luvbeers
What is open for Friday night, Okt. 2? 6 people.
Julslide
Hello!
Any reservations available for 2 people for Friday night, October 2 and also for 2 people on Saturday, October 3, both afternoon and/or evening?
Renia
Why don´t people read all the great information available here on TT before posting requests such as this? (bangs head)?

Sorry, SB, feel free to delete of course.
Whitney-Events
Two people do not need reservations. Patience and perseverence, but not reservations.

NP, Renia, I blame it on the hormones.
Whitney-Events
A few duplicates are popping up and can be claimed on a first come, first serve basis.

[s]Hippodrom, Sunday 20 September 3.30pm - 6.30pm, €30 per person plus fees - 6 seats[/s]
[s]Hippodrom, Thursday 24 September 12pm - 3pm, €30 per person plus fees - from 10 to 30 seats[/s]
[s]Hippodrom, Friday 25 September 12pm - 3pm, €30 per person plus fees - 10 seats[/s]
[s]Schottenhamel, Friday 2 October 11am - 4pm, app. €28 per person plus fees - from 10 to 40 seats[/s]
Whitney-Events
Hippodrom Sunday 20 September 6 ppl is taken.
SlayeratCP
I was wondering if you had any evening reservations for 6 on Mon Sep. 21, Tues Sep. 22 or Weds Sep. 23. We could also join a group of 4 to make 10 if anyone is available
Whitney-Events
Hippodrom Friday 25 September 10 ppl is taken.
sp100
I am interested in getting 4 tickets (would also be happy with 6 since I know 6 is somtimes the minimum for a table reservation) for Hippodrom, Schottenhammel or Kafer for Friday evening Oct 2 or anytime Saturday Oct 3. Thank you for your help!
Whitney-Events
Evening reservations of any kind are no longer available. Four patient people should be able to access one of the tents, use the side or rear entrances (but not those marked Reservierungen), look cute, sober and fun-loving. Cleavage on the ladies is never amiss.
Whitney-Events
[s]Ochsenbraterei Sunday 27 September 12 - 4pm 10 ppl. has become available, €40 per person plus fees.[/s]
taken
UKGroups
Hi - Looking for access for 24 visitors on evening of Thurs Sept 24th... preferably Kaefer tent, but will look at others. If this date doesn't work, any recommendations for other dates?
Whitney-Events
The Ochsenbraterei table is now taken.
Whitney-Events
Available due to a double booking:

[s]Hippodrom Sunday 4 October 10 ppl. 3.30 - 6.30pm €30 per person plus fees[/s] taken
Whitney-Events
Reminder: 3 October is the German national holiday, everyone and their dog will be at the Oktoberfest. There are no reservations available and haven't been since app. March. Try the outside beergardens (weather permitting).
Whitney-Events
[s]Another double:

Käfer Sunday 4 October 3.30 - 6.45 pm 10 ppl, €40 per person plus fees

Scrumptious food and tons of eye candy for any sex; Radler, Weißbier and Russnmaß. A bit lahdidah and schicki-micki, go along with the flow just this once, then back to reality.[/s]
Whitney-Events
Hippodrom has been snapped up.

If -by any chance- a table in a major tent comes up for the evening of Saturday October 3rd please please please notify me, I am absolutly desperate! cheers!

Read post #45 above
Whitney-Events
Not to mention about five clients on the waiting list ahead of you who had contacted me in January/February with a similar request. If you send me your e-mail I'll put you on the notification list (generally sent first week of January) for next year's reservations.
Whitney-Events
No more spares at the moment but Ammer told me today that they have capacities on Sunday 20 September in the afternoon and possibly evening. Bit steep prices (€65 per person for food and drink) but definitely worth it as a once a year fling.
