After Fasching the Starkbierseason will start and as
last year was so much fun it would be great if we could get a group together this year. Who'd be up for it?

Jan 17 2005, 1:56 pm
I'm in for up, although I think I will actually avoid the Starkbier and stick only to Helles as after two starkbiers you know it's going to be a short night or a long one depending how your looking at it !

Ahhh one of the two events I organised on TT last year!!! I think reservations will be the best way forward as it will be packed... if I remember from last year the reservations keep the tables until 2pm ish than they are free game to anybody. A reservation page here so that people who want to go can register, than we can reserve tables as necessary on the premise that 2 times the people who regisetered will actually go!!! Probably best to reserve the tables a month in advance.

Just made a reservation for 20 ppl to be on the safe side, I hope it can be extended as I think there will be more ppl coming. Alan, do you remember for how many you booked last year?
We gotta be there between 12:00pm and 2 pm.
Tables are reserved under "Toytown" and my surname is Hagen.

Darn, I think I can drag my gf to it, but it may be a stretch. My parents are coming from the states on the 25th. So, I'll be there the 26th I believe, with my parents.

If you are starting at 12, then how long do you intend staying? Its just I might be along in the evening...
Most people can only manage about 2 Starkbier so I wouldn't expect people to still there after 6

Going to meet people when you are sober and they have been drinking hard for 6 hours is never fun. Least not for me. But I suppose you'd probably be able to do some good blackmailing after the fact.

Obletter have those pink bunny ears bubbly!
Might be cheaper to bring 'em with you than buying them there?

Ground floor with the Fasching stuff.
That Trachtenshop im Tal (not Pat's, the other one) has got a sale on right now btw. Haven't been in yet though. Maybe I should try my dirndl on as well (for same reason!)?

Wouldn't buy them when sober, but these are great fun when drunk!

Too bad I lost them! Butterbean, shall I get them for you? You will not keep them for long anyway

no worries, bubbly! Fresh ears are better anyway!

Don't know that I'll be wearing either of my dirndls either. They're not very wintery, though it does get pretty damn warm in there.
Starkbier is the bomb. Bring it on!

Where exactly is this place?
UrbanAngel
Feb 18 2005, 12:53 pm
I think I ate at this place in summer last year.. I am assuming they'll be serving something other than beer? Sorry - I don't like beer

But tequila, or wine or something else would be nice. Any clue?

Feb 18 2005, 1:22 pm
Think you may be out fo luck UA... it's like
Oktoberfest on that score... beer or no beer... there may be a highly overpriced very small glass of nasty wine on the menu, but I don't think anybody drinks it...
