Occultation of Venus by the Moon

If you're lucky enough to be in a location with a clear sky this evening, look towards the south-west soon after sunset, to watch Venus vanish behind the darkened limb of the crescent Moon, and reappear again about an hour later. The event starts around 17:10 for observers in the Munich area, but the starting time may vary depending on geographical location. Looks like we won't see it in Munich anyway, with the thick cloud cover.
