would have been fun though, Jason also asked if i could work too; so could even have been paid to be there!! would have worn my kilt but guess ill have to save my knobbly knees for another time! ph34r.gif

slainhe mhor
Katrina
Well you could always show off your knees at the Starkbierfest I guess.
You're making me really hungry talking about the chippie!
If we have leftovers maybe someone could whip up some batter and...
wink.gif
Whale Rider
hey it was u that started it by even mentioning the word "supper"!! smile.gif I started salivating almost straight away and then the dream for my first 2005 chippie visit began. oh and id forgotten about white pudding suppers. ah jeesus i think i will have to go quite often to make sure i get it out of my system before i come back. and a proper curry. ok i really am happy about going back for a wee while.

maybe see if i can get some bru back with me but dont think i will be nice enough to share it ph34r.gif
Katrina
Well, I'm keeping all the leftovers for me if it is like that then! tongue.gif
And please have some beautiful Ayrshire roll on a Scotch roll when you are there plus some *red kola* ooooooooooo
Food of the Gods
I was at my sister's in Coventry for Christmas and when I saw that Morrissons stock Ayrshire roll bacon nationally, well it was like spending Christmas on Atkins! biggrin.gif
You have a great trip, ok? How can you not!
Whale Rider
too true!!

ah proper bacon buttie and a lovely soft roll. will miss semmels though! sad.gif

have a great night, c u guys when i get back.
Schotte
"Did try to get Irn Bru but alas it was not to be had"

If I haven't finished my imported stash of Bru I will donate it, but it is going the way of the Guinness... disappearing fast. We will see.

Great work organising it Katrina.

Have fun ScotsGeeza.
scots geeza
Thanks Chris, Im going home just in time for the dundee - dundee united derby on the 29th and the semi final against rangers on the 3rd of feb so should have a brilliant time.

dont smash up the place to much now

@ Katrina - would avoid ordering bucky just to make sure wink.gif
Lily007
Hello I'm New here. Can somebody please explain to me what these TT meet ups are? And if I am interested how to meet single men in this area.
Thanks! tongue.gif
Schotte
well tell us a bit about yourself lily007!
Katrina
Well Lily there are quite a few single men here, I should think but whether they are any good or not is another question (same with the women though ha ha).
If you go to the first post in this thread, that should help a bit but remember that these are not exclusively singles only events.
Have fun looking anyway!
Schotte
What time is this all likely to kick off then?

I am positively excited at eating the haggis. smile.gif

P.S. Not long finished the Irn Bru though...couldn't stop myself. sad.gif
Topsy
8pm I think, Schotte - see post #45 from Hazza smile.gif

I'm confused, now, though - is Scots geeza the same person as whale rider, then or what? Or am I just getting confused?
Schotte
ah cool thanks, i didnt see that one.

no idea about those two!
JoolyBooly
If anyone still wants to go, the reservations page is closed but I've PM'd Hazza to cancel my spot. Sorry, was really looking forward to trying haggis sad.gif but I have to be home tonight for family reasons.
Katrina
The haggis arrived in Munich customs yesterday and should be delivered today. We will keep you all posted as soon as we have more news (NOTE: Thomas Green's 48hr delivery service is a pile of poo).
chewy
I can't go tonight, (work sucks), have fun
Katrina
GLS will deliver the haggis this afternoon - delivery is now confirmed PHEW!!!
Schotte
great. so turn up just before 8pm or there abouts?
Katrina
Yes - see you there (if I can still see by that point - my brain is fried sad.gif )
Katrina
The haggis has arrived!*
*and if anyover ever suspected that yes, I am a jammy, flukey bastard, well there is your proof
Yeti
Is this a first? Just-in-time Haggis.

Anyway I hope ye have a great night!
Katrina
We would have been having toasted kittens otherwise as I was having enough of them 'til it turned up! biggrin.gif
Thanks!
colin stewart
Hi,

I won't make it until 9pm, please save me some haggis smile.gif

Colin.
Darkknight
And afterwords we can all go down to the English Gardens and toss the Caber's around biggrin.gif
Schotte
Mine didn't clear customs. sad.gif
UrbanAngel
Congrats Katrina, and bon appetit everyone!
Showem
The Haggis was truly scrumptious. Thanks to Katrina for the blessing and working her socks off to prepare it and thanks to Tartan for reading "Ode to a Haggis". Just at home having one wee Talisker for digestion and then off to bed.
pootle
Was lovely food smile.gif am at home about to head to bed before an early start tomorrow. Top marks to the organisers...

I had some haggis this evening before I left work. 'Twas my first time and I have to say it was surprisingly nice. Haggis at work in Sweden, that's one for the book.

Katrina
Thanks to all that came and ate beautiful haggis (and shame on the burger eater! wink.gif ). Lovely to see a big turnout and so many empty plates - cheers to Hazza, Jase and The Arc crew! smile.gif
And the pickled eggs are still there.
Ravski
Could not make this one, bloddy flu. I had Haggis etc at edinburgh castle and was great a few years back. I was looking forward to this one. Well done Katrina for such an arangement.

Disgraceful, really. I would never go on TT after midnight and waffle drunkenly.. ph34r.gif
Squirrel
it was a great night and my first haggis many thanks to katrina for all her work!
Owain Glyndwr
Yes! Thanks to Katrina for all the har work and for Harry and crew for hosting.

It was a superb evening, i could have eaten ten portions it was so good.
Crawlie
Great evening. Great Haggis. Although it seems to be repeating on me somewhat this morning...

I actually managed to go home from a TT event sober for once blink.gif
JoolyBooly
Meaning you didn't get home until just now...? rolleyes.gif
Crawlie
Oh ha ha very funny! My life does not just revolve around alcohol you know... mad.gif

Oh hang on... It does... blink.gif
Schotte
Yeah thanks everyone for organising it, you did a great job and the night was brilliant.

Thanks.
Gen
yup, I liked it more than I thought I would. Didn't like the veggie version though. Was somehow weirdly pasty mushy, and the non-veggie was... kernig. (leo says that's "meaty", which is ridiculous, but I can't be bothered to look up a better word for it.)
Moko
A good night. Thanks to Katrina for organising us and to The Arc for hosting us. Slainte!

Don't know what the dead animal version was like, but I really enjoyed the vegie version. Not so sure about the whiskey though.

Again thanks to Katrina, it should become a regular.
