yeah well gutted! but like u say, will be visiting the chippie on my first night home!!

hmmm i cant wait to eat a deep fried mushroom pizza supper and a single haggis mmm and maybe a couple of wee fish cakes washed down with quality Barrs Irn Bru in a glass bottle ah ok i dont mind so much now missing burns night.

well i do but now all i can think of is walking into Doras(local chippie) and getting my banquet of grease!!
would have been fun though, Jason also asked if i could work too; so could even have been paid to be there!! would have worn my kilt but guess ill have to save my knobbly knees for another time!

Well you could always show off your knees at the
Starkbierfest I guess.
You're making me really hungry talking about the chippie!
If we have leftovers maybe someone could whip up some batter and...

Jan 20 2005, 5:08 pm
hey it was u that started it by even mentioning the word "supper"!!

I started salivating almost straight away and then the dream for my first 2005 chippie visit began. oh and id forgotten about white pudding suppers. ah jeesus i think i will have to go quite often to make sure i get it out of my system before i come back. and a proper curry. ok i really am happy about going back for a wee while.
maybe see if i can get some bru back with me but dont think i will be nice enough to share it
Katrina
Jan 20 2005, 5:13 pm
Well, I'm keeping all the leftovers for me if it is like that then!

And please have some beautiful Ayrshire roll on a Scotch roll when you are there plus some *red kola* ooooooooooo
Food of the Gods
I was at my sister's in Coventry for Christmas and when I saw that Morrissons stock Ayrshire roll bacon nationally, well it was like spending Christmas on Atkins!

You have a great trip, ok? How can you not!

Jan 20 2005, 5:22 pm

"Did try to get Irn Bru but alas it was not to be had"
If I haven't finished my imported stash of Bru I will donate it, but it is going the way of the Guinness... disappearing fast. We will see.
Great work organising it Katrina.
Have fun ScotsGeeza.

Hello I'm New here. Can somebody please explain to me what these TT meet ups are? And if I am interested how to meet single men in this area.
Thanks!
Schotte
Jan 21 2005, 7:25 am
well tell us a bit about yourself lily007!
Katrina
Jan 21 2005, 8:31 am
Well Lily there are quite a few single men here, I should think but whether they are any good or not is another question (same with the women though ha ha).
If you go to the first post in this thread, that should help a bit but remember that these are not exclusively singles only events.
Have fun looking anyway!

I'm confused, now, though - is Scots geeza the same person as whale rider, then or what? Or am I just getting confused?

The Haggis was truly scrumptious. Thanks to Katrina for the blessing and working her socks off to prepare it and thanks to Tartan for reading "Ode to a Haggis". Just at home having one wee Talisker for digestion and then off to bed.

Yeah thanks everyone for organising it, you did a great job and the night was brilliant.
Thanks.
yup, I liked it more than I thought I would. Didn't like the veggie version though. Was somehow weirdly pasty mushy, and the non-veggie was... kernig. (leo says that's "meaty", which is ridiculous, but I can't be bothered to look up a better word for it.)

Don't know what the dead animal version was like, but I really enjoyed the vegie version. Not so sure about the whiskey though.
Again thanks to Katrina, it should become a regular.
