Farewell Party for Jason (aka pointman)

i have to say my first Toytown experience last night (tuesday regular's @ murphy's) was wonderful. it was a pleasure getting to know such a cool diverse group of people. just a shame that we just met and i'm leaving so soon. which brings me to the point of this post...

YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO MY FARWELL PARTY!!!

date: friday evening nov. 14th
there will be plenty of: beer. music. girls. beer. boys. beer. fun.

my idea is that if this 'boy pub crawl/ladies night out meet at a common place later in the night' thing takes off, this common place could be my flat? but i don't mean to step on any toes jimbo... let me know what you think.

It's cool with me, but that night I may not be able to make it, as i have people visiting from the UK, so I'm NOT organising anything for another few weeks - prob end of November until I am free at the weekend again I'm afraid.

But yeah, I think ur idea is good 'un - if I can make it along for any time, I sure will.

I hope you enjoyed your time here in Germany and take with you only the fond memories, good luck and cheerio.

i have a feeling i'll be back in the near future. but why don't we take this departure now as an oportunity to throw a great party? come to think of it do your really need a reason to party?... hmm something worth pondering perhaps.

keydeck, going out of town tonight, but will be back tomorrow. planning on checking out funky kitchen, but no guarantees, and i have no internet access on the weekends so not sure how we could meet up. but it is very likely that i'll be at murphy's on tuesday for TT regulars.

alright TT folks, this is the week of the big party and no party is complete without beer & music, hence I have a couple questions which i'm looking for you guys to help me answer...

1) Where can I get a Keg?
2) Does anybody know a DJ?

Also look for polls, regarding favorite beer, and favorite type of music, when possible i like to appeal to the masses.

An administrator will do it for you. As for passing the spam threshold, I think it's POSSIBLY more the way every thread you post in you end with 'Oh, and by the way, I know that the pizzas here suck BUT I'm having a party'. If Bob et al want these merged, trust me, they'll merge soon enough!

jimbo, already put in the request to bob. no go. and about the shameless plugs in my posts, sure i agree it's a bit overdone, but hell this is my last week here i want to go out w/ a bang. a few extra post never hurt anybody, anyways i've seen a lot worse on some of these TT forums.

Agreed on all counts mate, and I'm sure all concerned realise that no serious harm has been done...

after last nights TT adventure and the positive vibe that i'm getting from my colleagues and friends... as expected my 1 bedroom flat won't be able to handle this much excitment.

i'm currently working to reserve some tables at a well known centrally located munich bar for friday evening.

please post if you like this idea and you plan on coming...

of course there is still the option of having a more 'intimate' after party at my flat for a select few

Depends on the bar, but I and a couple of mates will be out and about that night, so you may well see us...

Thought you might be interested in the fact that since I work at a fairly international company, i expect also some french, italian, german, people to be there all good english speakers of course and can't forget the irish, british, and some of us degenerate americans as well. should be fun, bring friends!

and what about the free beer??? Before you moved the party you were talking about free beer and nice ladies...I guess that's still the fact??

sparty: there will be free beer, if someone buy's it for you... which usually from my experience seems to benefit the ladies a tad more often, sooo i suggest if you want free beer just come in a dress. come to think of it you would make quite a handsome dame ?!?

jimbo: though we only had a chance to meet briefly, you'll always be a TT legend in my eyes. it's been a pleasure. and attempting to get off w/ a girl BADLY should not be a problem for me, i have much experience.

will be there as soon as I can: random badly defined task syndrome is sweeping the office - as soon as Ive thought five impossible things, I'll be there to see you off in style.

good question? this party is actually in combination w/ 2 other colleague's farewell parties. my guess is that it's under: kurt weber. but i plan to get there fairly early, and one of the benefits of being in a bar in germany and being black is that i'm usually easy to find
