English-German Stammtisch in Erlangen

Hi there,

is anyone interested in founding a English-German Stammtisch?
It would be great to meet regularly (once a week) and talk, cook, eat,
go to the cinema etc...
I am German and would love to meet English native speakers.

Sure!! It's not likely that I will be able to make it every week, I have young kids and their father travels a lot, but I would definitley go when I could.

Have you guys now founded a Stammtisch? Can anyone joing?

There's an English lanugage Stammtisch at Wheeler's Pub in Erlangen on the first and third Thursdays of each month, 6-10 pm. It's free to join and open to intermediate or better English speakers.

Hey there, I'm the coordinator of the Stammtisch at Wheelers. And this coming Thursday (06.08) we are looking to set up some PlayStation Karaoke in the back bar. Will be the first time we've done this, but not the first time they've set up a PlayStation back there, so we're hoping for a good show. We're sponsored by Let's Talk, but it's open to anyone that wants to come out and talk and socialize.

Hey there, Kevin again. The Karaoke turnout was really good and a lot of folks had a good time. I'd call it a success. For this Thursday we are going to change things up a little, and maybe keep from getting all the doors closed on us (we were a little loud, in all fairness). Theme of this week's Stammtisch is Board, Card, and Party games. I have a selection that I will be bringing with me, but anyone interested, please bring your favorites. Just try to keep it in the half hour to an hour range so that we can always accommodate folks that show up.

I'll be there at 18:00, most likely in the back bar where we were last time.

It's almost Let's Talk Stammtisch Time again! It's been difficult getting things together this past week, but still planning on Thursday at 18:00 in the back of Wheelers. I don't have transportation this time, so bringing all the sound equipment for Karaoke may not be viable. I'll keep you all up to date, and feel free to toss questions my way.

It's Third Thursday again, time for the English Table again. For those of you who came out last week with the promise of Karaoke, I apologize for the communication failure, but glad to see everyone.

No Karaoke this week either, not something we'll be able to do on Thursdays at Wheeler's until the end of the the Football season. But there are places that do it if that's your thing.

Christina, or whoever else might be interested, there are some of us who met at Kevin's stammtisch who continue to go out and have our own stammtisch-like things.
This week is out, but next week I'm sure some dates can be arranged. There are three of us going to the Goldener Mond for Irish Set Dancing on Thursday, then to Murphy's Law (Irish pub) afterwards for a drink and a chat. You're more than welcome to join us, though the set dance is not a beginners night. We'll be at Murphys between 930 and 1030 the absolute latest, more likely 10. A wee dark haired girl, a tall redhead and an even taller blond (what's left of it) man.
