Havn't been to GMs for a little while and I'm not under 25 so can't go on that night so how about a No age restriction, no sex (M/F) restriction, no newbie / oldie restriction night in GM's on Saturday 22nd Jan.
Maybe eventually move on to another bar / club after - depending on everyones mood.
Any newbies will be able to ask at the bar for Toytown people and they should be able to point us out - then come to us and just say your a Toytown newbie!
Who else would be up for this?
Whats GM's like now on a saturday?

ooh, I love it there in weekends, they have the best music.
Would be nice to try somewhere else than the standard TT mafia pubs! But on Saturdays Murphy's is cool and good for a big crowd and for mingling with newbies.
I'll be there if I am here that weekend, there are skiing optons but after last weekend my bank manager is going to have a heart attack...

GMs is always a good place to start off the evening. although whenever i go in there without any clear plans for afterwards, i tend to stay until i get kicked out at closing time.
Well, anyways, i am definately up for it!
Eric, that
extra beer money sure is burning a hole in your pocket

@ Jooly: your bank manager should be pleased. they make more money out of people that constantly go into the red. interst charges and all.

don't tell me that! I need to get somebody to stop me! Or get a house like Eric and be rich and buy lots of toys... not fair!
Although for this week at least I have a different guradian angel managing my wallet and waist... I am banned from talking! Bloody laryngitis, I've lost my voice! Imagine that. Will just have to type faster

Might bless this event with my attendance (you lucky, lucky people).

Jan 10 2005, 2:43 pm
oh, don't feel sorry for me... I lost my voice by screaming all the way down several mountians, then drinking until 2 every morning, (we didn't even ski the first morning due to hangover from first night!).. Not to mention singing all the apres-schi hits like "ich bin Schappi der Krokodil", classic! I am black and blue (from rolling down the high street with CountryGirl, not skiing!), can't talk, am probably banned from Saalbach Hinterglemm, but am deliriously happy after a fab weekend skiing with some great friends

Sounds like fun! I'll be there. I think GM's is a good place to go since they are on the TT tuesday's list anymore.

Eric the Hamster
Jan 20 2005, 1:35 pm
i might be going skiing on that day but will try to get there about 8 (but might still be in my ski gear

) this seems an average starting time for most tt events

How things have changed - time was that I'd meet 3Lions at GMs in time to watch the first Saturday game, and leave when Alan finally kicked us out...<sigh> Happy days.

I know - sad isn't it. Shame you only joined the 'massive' towards the end of my tenure - I still have blurry memories of Baby Guinness inspired carnage at my last ever BNO as a Munich resident.
Eric the Hamster
Jan 20 2005, 1:49 pm
i remember that was one of my first tt events. hmmm trays of baby guinesses.
must say though there seems to be more and more tequila in my life recently. started with the
Kilians night where i first met 'Team tequila' and more recently texastornado giving free tequilas away on Toytown tuesdays (ouch), baby guinesses are much nicer to your head

Jan 20 2005, 1:55 pm
Ahh... Tequila, I prefer Tequila, probably because I can drink a lot more of it before getting drunk. A fair few nights of practice builds up the resistance !
Jimbo
Jan 20 2005, 1:58 pm
Tequila and Absinthe - that particular mix wrote off the memories of an entire weekend in Berlin - no idea what happened, except that it was probably fun and that I saw Armand van Helden DJ in a club with a dragon that actually breathes real fire. Very surreal.
Baby Guinness are the way forward - don't forget it.

Tequila is evil, just plain evil.
Yeti
Jan 20 2005, 3:02 pm
The problem is the first Tequila wakes you up, the second makes you feel good and then numbers three and four pave the way for a night of insanity.
Showem
Jan 20 2005, 3:04 pm
No, the problem is that Tequila is often done as body shots. So the first one wakes you up, the second one makes you feel good and then numbers three and four make you feel anybody.
Yeti
Jan 20 2005, 3:07 pm
What's a body shot ? Maybe I've been drinking tequila wrong all these years. Could explain the little mexican blacksmiths doing an early shift in my head the next day.

No logic whatsoever. Seeing as the rude bastard dentists NEVER let you take any decent narcotics home with you (and they have SHITLOADS of great stuff) booze is gonna be a very good option. Stick to whisky or a decent brandy for the night, and sip slowly. Stick it rand the randabaaat, drop it daaan a cog, and we wos all laarfin.
