Setting up satellite TV in/around Göttingen

Got my 1 meter dish up yonks ago but can't find astra 2. Had a firm come by a while ago who told me there was not sucjh a thing as astra 2 - I needed astra one!! When I proved it to him by showing him on the internet he failed to find it! (and sent me a bill for 35 Euros for the plesure of failing!!)

Is Göttingen a dead spot as I hear of people setting up with 60cm dishes much further from UK?

Any help, pointer to anyone who can do it (for less than an arm and a leg) would be very welcome
