Calling all friends of the theatre!

Just to bring your attention to the existence of an English-speaking theatre group in Stuttgart called the New English American Theatre (NEAT). Those of you who frequent O'Reilly's Irish pub quiz on a Tuesday may well be aware of one of the group's leading lights, John Doyle (one of 'The Old Farts' quiz team).

NEAT will be performing Craig Wright's 'The Pavilion' at the Kommunales Kontakt Theater (KKT) in Bad Cannstatt on:

Thursday 6th November 2008 at 7 p.m. and
Friday 7th November 2008 at 8 p.m.

and then again on:

Thursday 4th December 2008 at 7 p.m. and
Friday 5th December 2008 at 8 p.m.

Here's a synopsis of the play:

Hailed by critics as "an Our Town for our time," this play is by turns poetic and comic, romantic and philosophical. Peter returns to his twenty-year high-school reunion with dreams of winning back Kari, the girl he left behind after an unexpected pregnancy ended their relationship. Standing in Peter's way is Kari's bitter-as-ever resentment, her husband and the fact that Peter still hasn't grown up. As the night progresses, both Peter and Kari are led, through their interactions with a host of characters all played by a virtuosic Narrator, to face the consequences of choices made long ago and start back into life with newfound strength and bittersweet resolve.
Why not go along for an evening's entertainment and give the group your support? Thanks.
