Starbucks open a store in Leipzig

Just back from Leipzig and notice there's a cracking new Starbucks (Brühl/Ecke Nikolaistraße). The first in the DDR (excluding Berlin and Potsdam) and the 133rd branch in Germany.

Praise the Lord! Tall Drips all round.

The VoPo will probably post someone in front of it - and the Stasi will definitely keep an eye on the locals using it ... Who knows, perhaps the Wall will fall one day and the DDR will become part of the BRD.

I read the other day that kids in the UK have coined the phrase 'McPee' (this was in the newspaper so maybe more likely McPiss/McShit knowing British kids?) for just this thing.

I went into the bogs in a Starbucks in the States once. They had a nappy changing table in the gents' toilets. Disgraceful.

They just opened one here in Dresden. The infestation continous. Why pay for overcharged coffee when you can make your own? I cold brew mine and make a nice tasty iced coffee.
