An update for those of you who appreciated and supported girls night out...
OUR FIRST NIGHT ROCKED!!!
Pictures coming soon. I will make no apologies for my behavior after 10, before 10 I think I was an OK member. After 10, quite a few of us fell apart. Which is all the more reason to love GIRLS NIGHT OUT.
Thank you to all my new sisters who made my week a whole bunch better!!! Sweet love from THE beans.

It was great to be able to match up a few more faces to the online personas. Unfortunately I think I was quite a way behind in the drinking stakes when I got to Bondi and the catchup just didn't happen. How and ever, after leaving Bondi the evening was far from uneventful. Whilst running for the
U-Bahn I managed to lose my footing and head face first down the escalator. Not a triple somersault with half pike in sight, just head first using my face as a brake. Ended up with a number of stitches in my nose & forehead which right now hurts like nobodys business. Plus a bashed knee and a curious cheese grater effect on my forehead, chest & stomach from the edges of the escalator steps. Not fun. Still, great to meet you all

And in the end a whole load of lads showed up too (or rather everybody seemed to just pitch up in Bondi) and a good night was had by all. Some people in particular...

Nicely done beans!

Thank you, Jimbo, although Karen deserves the thanks more than me.
Glad you, and all had a good night.

yes, it was a great night! Especially calling all four groups that were here and everywhere and eventually all met at Bondi's.
keydeck, sorry to hear about what happens!

Then thanks to Karen also - was a great night, and maybe a fortnight from now we'll get a proper boys' night out running, and then perhaps meet in Bondi again? Not a bad venue after a few drinks, and they have some well fit barmaids too...

@ Keydeck - Jesus mate, that looks pretty nasty - hope it heals up nice and quick. Next time you better drink a few more.

Keydeck...
My sympathy call today did not do justice.
You take care, from me and the old man.

Nov 15 2003, 8:45 pm
And, yes to Jimbo. Bondi was great, except I think a certain gorgeous barmaid sparked my drink!!!
I haven't been THAT drunk all my life. Come on, bex, whadya give me? I was way too drunk for only 12 wines...

Thankfully I was drunk! Otherwise I reckon the stitches would have hurt a lot more! The right eye is now almost completely closed and black all around. Not ideal!

Keydeck, I couldn't stop laughing at your description of events, I'm glad I wasn't there to see you fall, I wouldn't have been able to contain myself. However, I know you will be in pain and my sympathy is extended to you, hope you feel better soon.
Is your new lady taking good care of you, I hope she's got you on the couch with a blanket and is bringing frequent cups of tea?
How did the people around react, did they offer help or did you sort yourself out? Did anyone laugh?? I don't mean to rub salt in your wounds, I just have a sick sense of humour.

Thanks Granny, I'm being well looked after. I'm very lucky in that respect.
Quite a few people stopped to help, although I wasn't really aware of them as my face was full of blood and it kinda ouched a little. I think 4 or 5 people stopped and offered tissues and general help. Then Kathrin brought me in a taxi to the emergency ward at Rotkreuzplatz where the man with the needle went to work.

There you are then, the Germans aren't that bad after all!
Do you have disolving stitches? If you don't, make sure the crusty bits are lose before getting them out, less painful.

OW!
Blimey, you can actually see the individual marks of those metal ridges on your forehead!! Hope is feels OK soon - I had visions of Douglas Coglin in Cocktail reading your description..

Oddly enough Don, I only watched Cocktail again on video about 3 or 4 days ago. The "falling down the stairs" scene is quite funny, although Coglin (can't remember his real name) pulls off a much more convincing drunk than Cruise. Gotta stop watching movies. Those tracks are down my chest and stomach too. Like some kinda carpet-burn with a cheese grater.

Oooooh nasty.
I have had a run in or two with the escalators here, but only my knees have ever bore the mark of those damn metal tracks.
I'm gonna see if I can find a copy of Cocktail now...
There has been loads of problems at
Ostbahnhof recently, with delays, and general mayhem, and my woman read something in the paper that somebody from
MVV is gonna be taking questions in a kind of open forum. You could pretend you were pushed down some escalators in the rush and panic that apparently was going on there on friday, and see if they'll give you a tenner!

Hey Gals!
Well, it is getting a little slow on the girls front here...but as I re-call, we agreed at the last GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!! that we would alternate organizers.
The last time was too great to just let go and never do again. This post is FOR ALL THE GALS. If you are up for a girls night, post it-time and place-I will always try to go and we will have a blast.
So, NEXT...I think there were at least 10 girls there last time, that makes my next turn to organize in at least JUNE!
Who's up to bat?

Hi,
I'll do it this time *gulp*.
Initial plan is:
Friday December 5th,
Marienplatz Christmas market then Bar Glockenspiel (overlooking the
Marienplatz, very nice bar, cool grooves) and then onwards.
Dates are becoming booked up until Christmas so please give an opinion asap.
Thanks,
Katrina

Hi
we have an alternative date of SATURDAY 13th DECEMBER.
I will set up a voting thread, ok?
Bar Glockenspiel is a really nice bar, plenty of goodlooking (and thankfully for us girls with boyfriends) gay men ha ha!
