Indoor play areas for children - Hamburg

To all Moms and Nannies

I am currently taking care of a lovely'' almost'' 2 year old little boy in the Schanze/Shlump area.
I am looking for an indoor play area to take him to, during the cold winter months.
Can anyone reccommend a nice one for us? i have heard that there are a few but im not sure exactly where.

Would also like to suggest arranging a play group or play date perhaps once a week, where he can mix with other toddlers.Hes so friendly and sharing and plays well with others.
We could also arrange trips to the aquarium and zoo. Or other indoor activities.

Are there any other nannies or moms who would be interested?

Hi Meg!

There's a great indoor playground inside Altonaer Museum, it's called Kinderolymp. They have a massive pirate ship, shadow theatre, opticall illusion stuff, books and much more. There's no age limit. All you pay is entrance fee for an adult, which is 4eur with Budnikowski card.

I was about to post something similar for parents and kids to met up there on the weekend.

Indoor playground in the Altonaer museum? That sounds FABULOUS! But what is a Budnikowski card and how do I get one?

PS My 21 month year old daughter and I would be interested in joining a playgroup as well!!

@Angelaaa - you get the card at any of the Budnikowski stores, ask at the cash register. I shop often there for my toilettries supplies.

I'm currently trying to set up an English speaking playgroup in central Hamburg.

I have places free starting at the end of November for toddlers and pre-school children who may enjoy an English speaking group.The emphasis of the playgroup is on creative expression through music, songs, storytime and freeplay in a caring, warm and fun atmosphere.

My kids have been to Indoo in Ahrensburg and I have been told it's supposed to better than Rabatz in Hamburg.

Yes, I'm just beyond the border to Niedersachsen. We will be in Hamburg tomorrow afternoon though, for the in-law Kaffee & Kuchen nightmare. When were you thinking of heading out? The weather is actually supposed to be better tomorrow.

Which place in Soltau were you looking for? There's lots of kid fun down that way (well, relatively speaking, I guess).

edit: did you see my thread about 'checking out dinosaurs'? There is a place in Niedersachsen, but it doesn't open until next month. Are your kids into that?

Ponys, horses and rainbow farting unicorns is what turns my girls on Juniors still to small to have a focus on anything but I'm sure dino's are in his future

Every plan goes like planned until first enemy contact But I will try 10:30-11:00 which should work out.

Do they sell food there (lunch)? I will see how the boys are feeling in the morning... If we make it, you will know who we are, as I will be the one speaking Californisch.

They have a food court in the middle so you can watch the youngens like a ring master.
