Hello Everyone,

I would like to learn how to go around the lock on the many channels which my satellite receiver is able to read.

I am using a Terratec Cinergy receiver to connect a MAC laptop via USB to the satellite dish outside the apartment.
The programme functions with (Eye TV Version 3.0.3.)
It is working well except that more than half the channels are locked.

Does anyone know of a way to unlock these channels in order to have a wider variety without having to pay for a subscribtion?

I would greatly appreciate your insights on the subject.

That's illegal.

It depends on the channels you want to watch and the encryption they use.
And it's illegal.

Thanks for your replies guys.
I will just forget about it then and enjoy the available channels.

on a separate note, just shifting the position of the satellite will allow for a different set of channels depending on the signal, correct?

or none if you shift the dish to the wrong position...

You mean shifting the position of your dish. Yes, if you point your dish to a different satellite. Or you can install 2 LNBs in the same dish and point each of them to a different satellite (provided the direction and angle allow it) and you will get the channels from both satellites..
