I am wondering why more TT members haven't become Supporters?
I am hoping that most are like me and just don't(didn't) know about it. I accidently came across the info on what it cost to run the website and how little it cost to support the website. I got to thinking about how much info I have received from TT members over the last 9 months of reading that 20 euro is nothing. Think about it where could I buy a guide book that would include all the information on TT plus the great debates and to top it off where to buy a pint of milk.
So what are the other excuses besides ignorance?

Procrastination? I'm a supporter now, but it took me months just to get around to signing up.

No Bob's paying me an incredible commission of 0.00025 for every new Supporter.
Not really, I just started adding up what all this info would cost if I was buying it and realised how truly invaluable this site has been for me and wondered why...

I wish there were more supporters also. I think if you hit the 1000 post mark then you should be a supporter. Just my opinion.

I was a sponsor at one time, I also enlisted others to pay up... hell I was even a mod here but that was a long time ago and I'm just not here often enough to warrant supporting.

I think you should save your money for more inportant things. Twenty euros - that is two fifths of a blowjob.
What would you rather have? A blowjob every two and a half years or a supporter group membership?
I know my choice.

In exchange for giving this thread a "bump," I'd like to ask Editor Bob for a complimentary extension of my Supporters subscription.
Seriously, it is worth it, and EB definitely earns his shekels keeping up with all our sometimes off-topic posts...

Would fewer of my posts be deleted if I was a supporter?

Actually, if you hit the 1000 post mark you should get a free subscription - you're the one creating all the content for the site! Technically, those that browse the forums all day but don't write anything useful should be the ones paying.

Funny. I've been meaning to do this for months, but simply haven't. Laziness, mostly. I haven't filed my taxes, either, so that should tell you something. The latest excuse is I'm waiting for my new debit/credit card from postbank. It will be sooner rather than later.

Hah! If only. Hell, I'd probably pay double if it would cut the number of deletions by half.
Edit: BattalionBoy actually made me laugh. Dammit.

Yes, and you can fucking use far more fucking gratuitous shit-wielding profanity than usual.
Oh, and on the last Saturday of each month, Bob sends around 3 very hot and very accommodating sex slaves to do your bidding for a night (male or female, depending on your preference - he PMs you and asks in advance).

You can also get a 3-month subscription by writing an article that appears on the TT front page. Quite simple really, just follow Editor Bob's
article guidelines.

So what would I get, exactly? A pass to the girly chat room where they snarl and scratch at each other in private? That can be had here publicly, for free! The ability to use more profanity is enticing, I must say. Can one hurl more epithets at other members with a paid subscription? see members naked (again, not in the girly room, please)?

No, mlovett, but for a measly €1.66 a month, you can see all the
shit wonderful and exciting things people are writing about
you many exciting and wonderful people in the Supporters Forum.

Note: I have serious PMS (PMT) and cannot be held responsible for my snarky comments.

I have to say though, it really does get my goat that people who obviously frequently use, enjoy, and benefit from using the site can't see their way to paying what is really a ridiculously cheap amount of money in return for all they receive from the site.
I'm just sayin'...

10€ for... a year? Or what?
How long is the "subscription" that you are paying for.
I do not see it mentioned on the "TT Supporters" page.

You'd be surprised at what a friendly, positive and supportive environment the ladies club is. There are loads of things I discuss in there that aren't even necessarily ladies only that I wouldn't in the public forum simply because the types of responses you will get.

Mostly they're not so much great debates, as mass debates.

Peronally I would revokel any supporter subscription for whomever lurks invisible rather than supporting the board and showing yourself to be here.

They might be gaining valuable information about divorce lawyers or swingers' clubs and not want others to know what they're doing. I think it's a legitimate board function, and they still show up on page views and such like.
