can anyone recommend a hotel in Kitzbuhel, or know of any good websites? Am looking for something fairly nice but not completely extortionate (yes, I know how unlikely that sounds for Kitzbuhel...)

For how many nights would you like to stay? I can't help you with a reccomendation only to say that if you want to stay less than a week you'll find it more difficult. Try www.tiscover.at.
If you are fairly flexible, have a car and are not too many people then don't book but turn up in random hotels/pensions after your day's skiing. I've done this a few times (not in Kb tho) and it often works a treat for single night stays. Just keep driving down the valley until you find someone who makes you a reasonable offer. Not a good idea over a holiday period...

I always use HRS. You can also do a search in English. I did a quick search and it found hotels in the vicinity (50 Km)
