I am skiing with six friends over Sylvester to the eighth of January here at Stubaital. We waited too long to get reservations at our first choices, and I know nothing of this location. Any tips, places to go, ski Apres??? Advice wanted...Thanks

apres-ski ...below the main lift to the glacier ...you can't miss it as there's normally big disco lights beaming out everywhere ! otherwise, Neustift which has a several bars and a dodgy austrian disco in the centre.

i have only ever been to the glacier and not the couple of resorts inbetween and have always stayed in Neustift. this place doesn't compare to Soelden, Mayrhofen, St. Anton, Ischgl and other serious party resorts but it may have changed and you can nevertheless have fun there !!

places to stay ? i recommend holiday appartments just outside Neustift (sorry can't remember the names but within walking distance of the centre) ...best to look on:

I recently stayed at Schoenherr Haus. Very nice, central and a reasonable price. But, I haven't checked if they have anything available ...

Thanks alot for the information. I reread my post and realised that it was not too descriptive of what I had meant to say. I have a Feiernwohnung reserved during this time and just wanted to know things to do in this area. Thanks for the advice, I tried desperately to find a place in Ischgl, Grinderwald, Kitzbühl, and St. Anton/Arberg (Bridget Jones II references), but they were booked full.
