I am trying to send an email to 133 recipients, does anyone know of any limitations set by Arcor (my service provider) on sending out messages like this.
I am using Mac OSX Mail (Leopard) with the Arcor outgoing smtp server. The message is that 'the server doesn't recognise the following recipients' (then lists the people I am trying to send to. Any suggstions anyone?

Stupid question, but I have to ask it.. Are you sure you typed the email addresses correctly?

I get just the same with TCom. If one (or more) of the mails cannot get to wherever it is supposed to, the whole mail is stopped. I get a mail telling me which ones are not working.
I've never given more thought to it than to remove the non-functional addresses. Then the mailing goes fine.

Check the formatting. Just one comma in the wrong place and the whole thing will fail.

I copied and pasted them from an Excel worksheet. There may well be a few that are spelt incorrectly, but at the moment it seems to be listing all of them. Please don't tell me I have to go through them all again.

In that case Deff. what STB said.. Check to make sure all the "," or ";" are in the correct places, and that there are no extra
spaces in between the addresses. Excel like to insert extra spaces in things when you copy/paste stuff.

In case you're unfamiliar with OSX Mail

Then look within the addresses, like a space before or after a full-stop, underscore or @-sign.
Otherwise you are trying to send too many at once. Try sending 49 and see what happens.
