Hi Chaps & Chapettes,
Can anyone tell me if BBC Top Gear is on any channel here in Munich. I miss it like it was my first born.
Cheers

AFAIK, It's only on BBC/Sky and I haven't seen it here on the CATV.
The Only english channels they carry on CATV are CNN and MAYBE BBC News (Wrong BBC Channel)

Check out American and British TV shows - Internet downloads on downloads.

FYI: Theres a link to WWITV, courtesy of Oli2000, which has free, legal downloads for lots of tv programs, including the BBC - though I guess not the "right" BBC and others from the UK.

BBC is broadcast free to air and clear so anyone with a digital satellite receiver and a dish pointed at 28,2 degrees east can pick it up.

if you have a south/south-east facing balcony there should be no problems get a dish fitted.

BBC Top Gear is on BBC Prime- which you can get hooked up thru Kable Deutschland. Costs 9-12 Euros a month after you purchase a box for digital cable.

BBC is FREE via sat once you get the dish installed, and you get more channels than just Prime.

Watched a snip of it tonight. Had to turn the channel when the dweebs turned down a date in a jacuzzi with a bunch of drunk girls on a stagette night because they wanted to discuss the cars. Lame, lame, lame...

Everyone knows the Top Gear franchise.

What amazes me is how ubiquitous the presenters are on BBC and elsewhere.

Clarkson has a weekly column in The Times, and he sometimes fills in on BBC quiz shows.

James May has hosted science series called "20th Century" and a delightful new series called "Big Ideas".

Richard Hammond has a kids show called "Blast Lab", starring Oliver the Opel Kadett.

I apologize if my 11-year-old son has me hyped up, but can anyone think of any other group of TV presenters who are this productive?

I don't know, but if we could clone James May and get them teaching science in our schools the world would soon become a better place.

You'd need a bloody big dish and an even bigger balcony if you were in Dresden

Top Gear repeats are also on Dave Channel , SKY 111, everything stops at 6pm everynight when it comes on for my 3 sons to watch it.

I also wasn't aware of Hammond's "Engineering Connections" show on the National Geographic Channel because that's one of the few I can't pull in.

The OP was in Munich when the question was posted.

There is a really good network that is an alternative --- DMAX. Its available on satelite but in german. Its very good though, I actually enjoy watching it with my guy. He's pretty much obsessed with the network. Its 80% cars, 15% sports and 5% woman in revealing clothing.
